Locking car while leaving it running???
I have a 2015 GS 350 F sport, I am trying to determine if I can lock the car, leave it , but also leave it running, (IE if I run in the 7-11 or something) ???
Any help, I do not (unfortunately) have a owners manual handy
thanks,
shawn

if the car is locked and I can see it the whole time, I dont worry too much. It is 103 today here in TX , it would be nice to run in and leave it running, car theft is not an issue where i live to much

I don't remember if the car will allow you to manually turn the lock to the locked position and you close the door, or if to would detect that and unlock.
But you'd have to open the car manually with the key fob blade. Test it with the window down, as I've heard of some people's blades not being cut

If you had the Lexus Enform app with Remote you could accomplish what you want! Drive to the 7-11 (your example) and turn Off and lock the car. Then, use the Lexus app to remote start your car.
The car will remain locked when the engine is running - along with the HVAC set to the last setting - for a period of 10 minutes; then it will stop running and remain locked.
10 minutes should give you plenty of time to buy what you need inside the store as long as you don't dilly-dally or have a cramp and linger too long in the restroom, resting!
