Lexus really needs to make the 4GS really stunning. The new 5 series looks pretty damn good and I haven't seen the E class yet. But as far as expanding the F line to the LS, I can see Lexus doing it, but with an executive line and the long wheel base version, I'm not sure it will happen just yet. Next after the IS F and LFA should be the GS F, so we shall see how these next months go. :/

I think an LS F is fairly pointless.

I think Li-ion batteries is still VERY expensive, they can't include it in a $50k~$60k mid size full luxury sedan yet. So far, you only find Li-ion batteries in the $41k Volt econobox and those ultra expensive Tesla's vehicles, the Roadster is $120k~$160k, the S sedan will be $60k~$80k and I think it will come with less luxury then the Mh and GSh.
True but Toyota will be using Li-Ion in the 7 passenger Prius + in Japan, where we in the US will get the Prius V which is just a North American market 5 passenger NiMH battery Prius+. It would be great if the next GS Hybrid carries li-ion batteries.

S63 and S65 are kinda pointless too, yet you see them. I've heard before that Lexus has customers looking for sedans that are above the LS and above the 100K mark. If they made an F variant, or even F accessories for it, I'd bet it'd sell.

The Sonata batteries are actually described as lithium-air. I'm not sure what the distinction is between lithium-ion and lithium-air.

they are li-poly... i am sure expensive Lexii will use li-ion in the future because of the packaging. hyundai didnt manage to do much here, probably because of cooling required for li-poly batteries they ended up with much smaller trunk, same as Camry.

reliability is probably the biggest worry right now, it is unknown.

They call it lithium polymer, but probably the same as lithium-ion.

See my theory here:

Cost is the biggest obstacle right now, there is zero words on reliability issue, electric hybrids have been around for a long time now with Prius and Insight, we never hear them being unreliable.

I would dig for an LS F though.

Cause the current LS 460 Sport, while great, is only a glass that is half full.

An LS-F would fill that other half

Two cents

P.S.
Yay 1000th post

In most cases, that is correct.

Yeah the ISC's lines are all screwed up. The SC430 is not bad though, same as the 3-series like you mention, also the SL are good looking. But yeah the hardtop does take up more room then a soft top. But then when the hardtop is closed, the car feels as good as a fixed top.

Yes a little lighter.........not a whole lot to matter though, especially on a luxury coupe.

I won't believe it until I see it, but it would be amazing. 4.6L~5.0L V8 Twin Turbo would be good for 500~600 hp.........that would be my dream come true in a GS or LS

Then I won't lust after any M5, S63/65, 760Li, Mulsanne.......etc....... anymore.

I really hope it doesn't look like a combination of a Buick/baby LS...

Hey I wonder if this is the basis of what they may use for the GS for 2012, I'm really tired of not seeing anything. I WANT PICTURES! I can stand the wait.
