Agree with both of you. 11 pages of speculation and guesses from a magazine that has been wrong more times than right.

You guys must be bored.

A SUPERCHARGED GS-F will work & be cost effective for Lexus. The Caddy CTS-V & Jag XFR come to mind. Fuel economy won't be effected all that much with the blower.

Have Lexus ever made a supercharged or turbo charged production vehicle?

Experimenting on a $80000 car that is suppose to be reliable is not a good idea.

Experiments are conducted all the time during vehicle testing. Be it cold weather, high speed, etc.. Heck, the V10 is a first for a Lexus production vehicle. Long term reliability is unknown and is based on perceptions at best. Lexus can't be that conservative now

I agree with spwolf, forced induction is not as reliable in general. Even companies like Audi and Saab who have been using them for decades still have relaiblility issues.

There's never been a boosted Lexus-badged production vehicle per se, but corporate parent Toyota and its TRD division have certainly dabbled in supercharging, most recently in the short-lived Australian Toyota Aurion TRD, essentially a 2GR-FE V6 Camry fitted with the first production application of Eaton's twin-vortices supercharger.

I think a few posters here have had problems with the TRD superchargers.
