i think they definitely need to expand lfa and trickle its tech down to different cars, but not sure about over-expanding though. there should be priorities to everything and lexus is still some way to go before anything like mb (on the lineup).
Yeah but Lexus is in a position to do great things with an LFA trickle down or awful things by wasting the effort
Oh and Benz should have a SLC "baby SLS" coming too!
Trickle down has already started. Namely the CT 200h and the changeable IP (Norm to SPORT)...the styled steering wheel (which is 100x better feeling than my IS F steering wheel). I think a lot of the manufacturing processes from their trick CF loom will play a major role in manufacturing new exotic parts for future Lexus cars.
Lexus does need a real coupe badly. No disrespect to the 2nd generation SC owners out there, but I really never liked the SC 430. The SC should have always stayed a traditional 2 door coupe from the start, not the SC 430 with a joke of a backseat, akward bubbly styling and a high price point.
Not to mention they had literally the ugliest wheels ever fit to any modern car. It was a joke in LA when it first came out. People were asking WTF is that

Only the first few years got ugly pie-plate wheels. The ones after that looks MUCH better.

Sure it was. The SC 430 when it debuted might have had weaksauce wheels but people in LA were buying the hell out of it. Lexus got 3,000 deposits at the Tokyo auto show when the concept debuted.
Then look what happens TEN years later, Jaguar copies the style with the XF.

LOL that's an XJ playboy...But great call. Clearly Ian Callum is a fan of Lexus...I kept thinking those wheels looked quite familiar. However I think once again Jag executed them better, particularly with the spokes.
