Very interesting. So if true, that means the GS gets unveiled early, before any autoshows?

 

Production CT's don't make 180hp, that's my point. If they were to make an F version of a car you'd think it'd be testing, or be something sporty, which the CT has both sportiness and has tested/raced with an upgraded powertrain. Just using simple logic.

 

Hope this means the next generation GS debuts in September.

 

He said cars should start arriving close to the first of 2012. The purpose of my call to Lexus was something relating to my GS430, but I figured while I have them on the phone, I would ask about the new GS.

No, he said he knew nothing about it yet as only the highest up employees of Lexus do at this point.

I hope this is accurate, and not some false info. Would be a nice surprise, and would get the hype going for next-gen Lexus models.

 

^^^ That date is the same week at Pebble Beach....Lexus has a good presence there so maybe that is when it debuts.

Good catch, I totally forgot about Pebble Beach. That would actually be a fine venue to unveil the new GS, at an upscale event, and a great event with which to get the hype going. It would certainly be a non-traditional unveiling, but that could be good.
