I don't really think Lexus will loose a ton of sales by having a carryover V6. Keep in mind this engine is competitive. Also look what Mercedes has done with the success of E class with the 3.5 268 HP Motor. If the car is great people will not notice a carryover engine as much. The V8 GS accounts for less then 10% of sales currently. Granted it is because it is not competitive. I am hoping Lexus will make up and see that our customers do demand a V8 Alternative that is somewhat more special and powerful then the V6 or Hybrid Option

My mistake. Not detuned then.
I think a GS with a 5.0 V8 would be quite competitive against BMW 550i and Mercedes E550 (the new turbo one). For Mercedes my dealer told me the V8 accounted for about 20% of sales which is decent, especially at a higher price point.

^^ true that. but we all like to see at least mpg improvements to keep up with the Joneses.
since the V8 doesn't sell much, I'm fine with them holding off on it.

i use both the remote touch (GS) and the remote mouse (RX). i personally like the remote mouse as it is more intuitive to use under driving conditions (imho)
