I was gonna replace my 1st Gen with an IS350 in about a month, now I have decided to hold out for another year and see what the 4GS is all about. I'm loving the design.

Omg I was affraid that's going to happen...oversized CT. Which i hate.
I guess they wanna be like Audi now... So seeing what the GS looks like i'm so not excited for the new IS.

You have to compare the same trim level, same model version and most importantly, the same design generations. A lot of time design generation overlap in different years, like how the 06' LS430 is a generation behind the 06' GS430 even though they are the same model year. And you can't compare sport to regular, obviously a base model C300 is going to look very different to a S65. The latest C-class facelift got the sporty headlights from the SL, which is why it look different now. And the sporty SL headlight is probably too sporty for the S-Class, so they didn't put it on there.

Try this: C300 luxury vs. S550

Here you go, just ignore the CT200h plate, put your head really close to your monitor so the vehicle appear bigger and blurred your vision a little to imagine all the tiny subtle differences

The car looks really aggressive, can you imagine how much moe bad *** the GSF will be?

I'm picturing it with the styling cues of the current ISF, but who knows how different the next generation Fs will be.

I wonder how the GSF will look with quad exhausts like the ISF. So sick...

Me too, I even don't like it on the Ferrari California. It takes a lot to make me dislike a Ferrari

Not even close. They might look the same on flat picture but in real world you will not mix up those two.

CT has a grill incorporated into fascia while GS has sculpted grill on top of the fascia. Two very completely different approches how to do a grill.

Wow, the 4GS looks stunning! I love the muscular look. It definitely looks way sporty and keeps the simplicity and smoothness of a Lexus exterior I've loved since forever. Gotta keep telling myself I don't need another Lexus in my life. Damn you Toyota how you tease me! I hope the interior will be terrible that way I have a reason not to like it..

The all-new Lexus GS sedan will feature a smaller 2.5-litre engine to compete with the BMW 5 Series and the Mercedes-Benz E-Class.

The LF-Gh concept previews the look of the next-generation GSsedan from Lexus.

Confirming an earlier report the GS would carry an engine smaller than 3 litres for the 1st time in the model's 20-year history, sources said the new baseline executive sedan would be called the GS 250.

After making its world debut in California on Aug 19, the 4th-generation GS will make its 1st Thai appearance at the Motor Expo in December.

The source expects the GS 250 will be priced at "the level of its intended rivals". The BMW 523i Highline and Mercedes-Benz E250 CGI Avantgarde sell for 4.249 million and 4.299 million baht, respectively.

Lexus's powertrain is thought to be carried over from the smaller IS 250 albeit with tweaks to improve economy and increase gear-shifting speeds.

The IS 250 has a 212-horsepower, 2.5-litre V6 petrol engine and 6-speed automatic gearbox. Both the 523i and E250 have identical outputs of 204 hp but from different execution.

The BMW uses a 2.5-litre inline-6 and 8-speed automatic combination, while the Mercedes employs a 1.8-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder and 7-speed automatic mix.

Unlike its Thai-built rivals, the GS 250 will be imported, as Lexus still has no plans to assemble cars locally.

However, Toyota's upscale brand will sacrifice some wholesale margin _ as it now does on the more crucial models _ to bring down the retail price as much as possible.

Today's GS 300 is priced between 5.39 million and 5.99 million baht depending on specifications.

Its engine is smaller than 3 litres, but the 229-hp output means it is liable to the maximum excise tax of 50% (for cars with engines of more than 220 hp).

The GS 250 faces a lower 35% tax rate, and it is cheaper to manufacture than the GS 300, enabling Lexus to price it at 4 million baht.

Even though the Japan-Thailand Economic Partnership Agreement allows 60% import duty from a normal 80% for cars with engines of more than 3 litres, both of those would still face 50% excise tax.

So the GS loses its traditional vertical slants? Maybe the F-sport gains them?

I was expecting to hate the front end but it looks so aggressive. Not sure how anyone can say it is like a CT, the CT does not look nearly as aggressive up front.

Also unless you were born in 2005 or so when Audi started making their grills large, cars have had giant gaping grills and outlines for decades. The entire face is very sculpted.

Can't wait to see the 3 different models.

P.S- Lexus bring the GS 250 here to be the volume leader...thanks

I wonder if the GS-F's grille will be reminiscent of the blacked-out grille featured on the pre-production Toyota Aurion TRD...

People are forgetting that the grill separator can be and likely is body colored, at which point it will look nothing like the Audi grills. No one says the CT grill is a rip off of an Audi.

I'm surprised they kept the muscular fenders, hood and wheel bulges of the concept, assuming the rest of the body work turns out the same way, this car will likely have a lot more presence on the road than an A6.

Wow, what if the GS-Fh more or less retained the concept styling? I would be so stunned by their willingness to be aggressive.
