^There was one you didn't notice in '08.
FWIW, regarding all of this GSF talk: I have said it a few times before but I would like to see Lexus take an LFA-like approach with the car instead of just plugging the biggest engine they have under the hood and slapping an F badge on the back.
I would much prefer to see them put this carbon fiber technology to work on the hood, roof, trunk lid, etc and shave off a few hundred pounds and have a lighter car, as opposed to one that requires 550hp because it weighs 4300lbs. If they could keep the car around 3700-3800lbs then I think ~500hp would be perfectly fine...in fact, I would really prefer a lighter car with less power for a million reasons. The horsepower war is just a bandaid on the fact that cars are getting FAT. Look at how much the new 5 series weighs

The current E63 is $100,000 car and I'm sure the M5 won't be far off that number either. As of this generation, a GS 460 tops out around $63K when loaded and the 450h is a bit above that. If they are really planning to eliminate the V8 model, there is quite a gap between say, a ~$65K GS hybrid and an E63 or M5.
As a reference point, the base price for the ISF is about $20K more than the IS 350, and I would expect something similar for the GS- a $20K-$25K premium.

To be tier 1 you need options even if people don't buy them in droves. Options are LUXURY.

Pole Position
By the time the GS-F hits the market, if it exists, I think LFA production would have wrapped up. By then, they will probably make a "LFB" of some sort with even more power. So if the "GS-F" makes 500 to 550 hp will not be an issue. Besides LFA owners dont care, even a 600hp GS whatevers will not measure up in terms of raw performance.

08 was the facelift, pretty much all cosmetic changes
In this class of car, I don't think $4-5K is that much money if there is a considerable weight savings. I also recall Toyota saying that they were hoping to find ways to apply carbon fiber to more cars in the future, and make it more cost-effective.

Link above says the revised GS is coming in 2011 (read towards the end of the story). Seems like all Lexus models will have LEDs.

The BMW 550i which I am considering for next year has a 10.6" wide-screen, has the 3D HD navigation with figuratively-correct building shapes, and uses a split screen so you can see your ipod or sat radio tuner on the left, and the nav screen on the right.
A 12" wide screen with this kind of functionality would be awesome, although I didn't know Lexus had that kind of tech.
Would also love to see a HUD.
