Can I say that this is where Lexus should be.
Aside from being FWD, this is a great vehicle. It offers the right balance of power and fuel economy. This is where a vehicle such an ESh, ISh and perhaps an additional hybrid variant of the RX should be. I love the GS450h, but a balance of power and economy is far more practical.
In its official news release about the 2012 A6, whose two gasoline and three diesel versions hit the market early next year, Audi says the gas-electric hybrid will follow "at a later date," which, we've been told, means in 2012.
It will mate a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder gas engine and electric motor to deliver a combined 245 horsepower.
Audi says its small 1.3 kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack will be able to deliver short bursts of power for speeds of up to 62 mpg in all-electric mode and to deliver an all-electric travel range of up to 3 kilometers (almost 2 miles) at a steady 37 mph before the gas engine kicks in.
The front-wheel drive A6 hybrid will be equipped with a version of Audi' 8-speed automatic transmission and will deliver a brisk 0-62 mph time of 7.3 seconds and a top speed of 147.9 mph.
The company expects it to deliver combined city-highway mileage of almost 38 mpg on the European test cycle (so figure 32 mpg or so on the U.S. EPA combined cycle) and CO2 emissions of 228.53 grams per mile.

I hope the S6 isn't that bland. It's like a bigger A4. The GS I'd say right now looks as good or better than that. The new one should definitely be a step or two above it.

I have a gut feeling the 4GS will have a grill very similar to the CT 200h...less chrome on the grill might be better...
