Hey all, a little late to the forum, but here goes. Purchased this beautiful 2015 GS 350 F Sport AWD with 54xxx miles back in May. I initially fell for a 2013 GS Lux RWD with about 80k miles on her, obsidian the same but with a flaxen interior. However, I went with this model as it was L/Certified from the dealership.
Specs:
1. 2015 GS 350 F Sport
2. Obsidian exterior with black interior
3. Nav with ML audio
4. AWD with the cold weather package
5. No DRS
6. Definitely want to tint to cut down on some of this Texas heat. Weighing the benefits vs the costs of exhaust upgrades, and seriously considering a mild drop as well.
7. I decided on the GS compared to a CLA 250, 535i, and a Jag XF. The Lexus replaces my 2007 Saab 9-3 as a daily and adds to the backup 91 Cherokee.
Overall, I'm stoked with the GS but I tell you the Obsidian is hell to keep spotless. Glad to be here.
Guess ill introduce myself as well from Australia. Have been driving a 2010 IS350 f sport for the past few years, wanted to upgrade to something a bit comfier as a daily driver. Been on the lookout for a (nearly) fully optioned GS since march this year, just picked this up last week. Will be booking it in for a cut and polish in the next few weeks. Just bought a front splitter/lip for it, as ive always thought the front end was "lacking". Also looking to slightly lower it, im thinking of RSR downs as they are apparently a similar ride quality to stock (which is what i want!)
New to me 2017, I had a 2018 IS and trade it for this, a yuge upgrade IMHO. Trying to get tint windows asap.
Welcome to the GS side. Not as many mods available as the IS, but it's a whole lot more car. Improvements abound, most notably the cupholder placement!
Have been lurking here for a while. Read a ton of info here which helped me make my purchase.
She is a 2014 RWD with 84k. My previous ride was a 2009 IS250 AWD. Actually liked that little car a lot, but I am super ecstatic that I made this purchase.
This is my 5th Lexus. Previously owned 1999 LS400, 2001 LS430 and GS430. The most major issue I encountered was a water pump in the IS.
I won't be doing many mods, just not my thing. This is not to say that some of the GS's I have seen here look terrific. I did replace the trunk light with a LED this morning.
Thanks again to all the knowledge you guys share!!
1. 2013 GS 350 Premium with 68k
2. Riviera / Flaxen
3. Nav no ML
4. RWD
5. no DRS
6. Maybe Municci floor mats
7. LS430, LS460. Replacing a Nissan LEAF with range dropped to 55.
Once the 4th Generation GS is available for sale, we will open this thread as a welcome / roll call for new owners.
just checking in. 2 mo in with my gs460. Lovin It! Will try to stay Clean & Stock on this one. Maybe? Cali Dreamin Love these lines First Wax today for my SFP. So lucky I found this one! Looked LS for a long time and almost gave up, and found her 2 blocks away
Bought this beautiful unicorn 4 days ago. 2016 Pearl White 450h to replace my 2012 Audi A6 3.0t. 30k miles so it’s not even broken in yet, lol. Don’t have any good pics yet so sorry for the crappy ones. Wife has a ‘14 ES350 so we’re a full Lexus family now.
Hi, I picked up my 2017 GS 350 F Sport AWD on Saturday. The car had only 30,000 miles on it when I purchased it. The exterior is caviar and the interior is black. This is my first Lexus with Mark Levinson, but I listen to my music at 20, so I'm not really hearing much of a difference. I have an appointment next week (Sept. 3) for tint. I'm going with 35% on the sides and 20% on the rear window. I did that combination with my black on black IS 350, and I think it turned out nicely.
The dealer didn't have time to detail the car before selling it to me, but they told me I can come back at any time for a complimentary detailing (there's crumbs and dust all throughout the car). Also, there are a few rock chips here and there that I plan on trying to fix. There is a tiny dent on one of the doors, but it doesn't bother me, so I might leave it alone. The leather(?) on the middle arm rest is fading, so I'm going to try to restore it as best as possible (or, if I can, replace it). The top of the shift **** is cracked (or peeling), so I'll replace that if it gets worse. The decorative trim above the door handle on the driver's side door has a scratch on it, but it might be too much of a hassle to replace.
If anyone knows how to repair/replace any of the concerns I've listed, please let me know. I'd love to get my car as close to mint as possible. Also, does anyone know what part of the steering wheel is actually leather? I always thought the perforated sections were leather and the top and bottoms were Nuluxe, but it appears the entire steering wheel might be leather. Also, is the center arm rest leather or Nuluxe? Sorry for the long post. This went on longer than I thought it would.
