I am not new but my 2017 GS 350 F Sport Atomic Silver w/Rioja Red is new to me!!
My 2015 was stolen from my "secure" apartment garage on 8/5. I just settled with the insurance company and so I went shopping for her replacement. Found an L-Certified 2017 with only 19K on her at South Bay Lexus in Torrance. The sales process was pretty smooth. The are a couple of things on the do list that the dealer will clean up, including some rim repair reconditioning, a replacement of the chrome trim on the lower part of the driver's side front grill, but all in all I am loving the 2017 upgrades so fat. The safety system + is pretty nice. Here are pics from her 1st photo shoot in Griffith Park.
I am loving the Atomic Silver and the way the light plays with it.
Love that updated front end!
That chrome piece is going to be replaced a week from Tuesday.
I love the way the curb kind of matches the body line of the GS (pure photographic happy accident)!
And like any other sexy gal, she has a shapely backside
Congrats on your purchase! Let's get some pics of the "imperfections", we'll be better able to provide suggestions.
Here are pictures of the ones I could remember. Hopefully they show the extent of the issues. (Please excuse the double air fresheners. Not only was the car not detailed prior to purchase, but there was a smell in the interior that I didn't appreciate.)
The center armrest is my number one priority. I'd love to eventually switch out the steering wheel to one of those steering wheels that has the carbon fiber on the top and bottom, but I'm not too handy and that is definitely one of the last items on my very short list. If anyone knows of a good place in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago, I'd be grateful.
Armrest... leather is clear coated with a polyurethane layer so it might not be as simple as fading. Try give it a deep cleaning first. Woolite and very warm water, 7 parts water to 1 woolite. Use a sponge or very damp microfiber to really work it into the surface, do it twice. Wipe with a clean damp cloth to remove residue. Wipe with a good interior protectant after. 303 or Meguiars interior detailer is highly recommended, Lexol as well.

Thanks for the tip. I'll give it a shot next weekend. I'm getting my tint on Thursday, and I want to get that out of the way before I start anything else.

I totally second this.
For the smell, make sure you change the cabin filter if you havent already, and give it a thorough vacuuming along with cleaning the insides of all the windows. Not sure if your car was owned by a smoker or not, but you'll probably need to treat it like it was. My father-in-law smoked in the truck we inherited when he passed, and this product worked really well:
What's up guys! Recently picked up a 2013 GS350 luxury package. Came from a 1999 GS400 but lost car due to garage fire. Knew I needed another GS in my life so I was lucky enough to find a clean used one at a dealership.
Hello from Houston, TX! Name's Kevin and this is my '17 Gs350 that I've owned for a couple of months now. I absolutely love this car, it took me forever to find a CPO in ultra white with cabernet interior. Currently don't have too many mods planned for it, but that's more than likely to change. Looking forward to learning more about these cars here.

Car looks great, congrats!
One correction I believe is that you would have the Rioja Red leather, not Cabernet, as Rioja replaced Cabernet in 2016.
Statuskuo - nice find - great looking car - I just recently bought 2016 CPO same exterior color but with flaxen interior - previous ride was 2008 GS 350 so this is a big positive change - normally I would not buy a used car with 67K mi but the 1 previous owner kept it in mint condition - plus you know the COP warranty for 2 years which sealed the deal for me - I looked for 4 months.

ahh ok, thanks for the info! the dealership I bought it from had it listed as having a cabernet interior, must have been their mistake.

Nice, congrats to you as well! The flaxen interior is beautiful. Really all color combos work nicely on the GS, it's just a stunning car.

I thought I'd give an update. I think this might have done the trick. I tried on Saturday, and this morning (Monday), the center armrest is still black. Thanks for your advice.

Glad that worked out for you, it’s likely dust, oils, and other debris (like, ugh, skin cells) stuck to the surface that caused the discoloration. Now you need to wipe down and clean the entire interior, then treat with a good protectant. The products I named above are good for all surfaces, leather, vinyl, metal and plastics.
