Hey all!
Long time lurker, first-time poster!!
Finally got my hands on my first Lexus, it's a '14 gs350, with lux package, cold weather package, BSM, power-folding mirrors, ect.
I'm super excited for what's in store, I've been looking for the right opportunity/deal on one for literally 2+ years!
a few pics of what I'm coming from, it's a 3rd gen 3sgte swapped 94 Celica, that started life as a teal green auto chassis, I rebuilt it from the ground up and painted it 8X1 (ultrasonic blue, its actually used on several Lexus! I'm a painter/bodyman by trade, so I actually did most of the bodywork myself and sprayed it as well.) Previous to this chassis, We had basically the same car, painted a similar color 8L5, off of the gen4 supra, that I swapped all the parts out of since that chassis basically rotted in the rear wheel-wells to the point that it became dangerous to drive..lol
Since the wife and I have been daily driving Celicas since '99, it was certainly time for an upgrade, and this GS provides it in spades!!
Can't wait to dive in with you guys and get to making it as fun a ride as I know it can be!
Already got an OEM rear spoiler on the way, and a few other little bits to help get it looking how it should be, then on to a few small tasteful mods just to get it suited to my style.
maybe a small drop, and possibly some wheels down the road, no real major plans for now, but I'll start thinking about a supercharger down the road for sure!!!

With that wheel gap, it's got to be AWD, right?

it is! the angle of the ground its sitting on vs my perspective while taking the pic i think makes it look larger than it actually is...no worries, i'll kill that gap eventually!

1. GS350 Supreme
2. Starfire Pearl / Black interior
3. Nav / Mark Levinson
4. RWD
5. no DRS
6. Planned mods - Carbon fiber front lip, carbon fiber rear diffuser, 4 channel UHD blackbox recorder (records front/back/left/right)
7.
[What other cars were you considering?]
My mind was hellbent on purchasing an Infiniti Q50 hybrid with the adaptive cruise control and premium speaker system, test drove 3 cars, couldn't make my mind up. Then I test drove the GS350 and I was surprised it felt more comfy than my old ES350 so just bought it. Some other cars I was considering: Mercedes E350 coupe, Cadillac CTS, Audi A7, Lexus IS-F, Tesla Model 3
[What did this replace or add to?]
Drove a CLS 63 AMG, engine broke down, and it was going to cost $14k to fix, which was equivalent to just buying a used one. Ended up selling it for parts, and purchased a 2011 ES350 due to the heartbreak I got from the Mercedes failing. Loved the ride but hated the design and old interior, so sold that and got the GS350.

@Leegrimbal You might be able to open up your headlight and reseal it/rebuild it. I know headlights are $$$

Have you done that before someone told me I could put it in the oven on a low temp and it would seal itself I can’t even find a replacement it’s crazy all the aftermarket assemblies out there no one makes this one

I personally have not, but I looked into it as I wanted to change my DRLs, and there are tutorials on Youtube. I would check out https://www.theretrofitsource.com or xeondepot.com and check out some YouTube videos. I do know its more than just throw it in the oven, but it is not impossible to fix.

Just picked up my 17 4GS AWD Premium in Caviar, decision was heavily influenced by this awesome community! Loving her so far, wife and kids named her Mambacita.
