Lexus love
hated to do it, but traded the 2020 black/rioja IS 300 F Sport AWD i just bought in february for this baby, last week.
2019 GS F Sport AWD
liquid platinum/rioja
every available option and accessory except the triple beam headlamps, heads up display and nine-spoke wheels
we really liked the IS. it was fun to drive and great looking, but we missed the creature comforts we have in the GX. the IS was a fun trip, but the GS is HOME.

hey, gang, i just posted photos of the GS F Sport i just got. i'm hoping one of you aficionados can tell me why the trunk lid spoiler is black instead of matching the body color. i've noticed just a couple other GS owners on CL also have black spoilers, whereas the majority are color keyed to the body, and i think the GS brochures all either say or show the spoilers being color keyed. thanks for your help!

As for the spoiler being black, it must have been done by the previous owner, as the F Sports come standard with a color keyed spoiler. I'm guessing the previous owner either had it painted, wrapped, or replaced with a black one.

thanks, JDR76. yeah, i can't come up with another explanation either. when i take it in to the dealer for service in a few months, i'll ask my service writer if he has a clue. he's amazingly knowledgeable about all things Lexus - however obscure. i think i'll live with the black spoiler for a while and see if it grows on me. the previous (one) owner also had the top 6" of the windshield tinted, and when i first got in the car i thought, "that has to go!" but, i'm getting used to it, and actually kind of appreciating the shade from early morning/ late afternoon sun.

Congrats on your GS! I hope you'll love it! I too went from an IS to a GS and it's a fairly easy transition.

Also, try to look up your VIN on https://www.lexus.com/My-Lexus. Register and add your vehcle to see the vehicle's original configuration as built, and any Service History that might have been submitted for your GS.

That black spoiler is certainly odd. Maybe it's wrapped with black vinyl? And done so well that it looks OEM?
