Funny. Looks like we are replacing the same car with the same car.

Contract ready to be signed and picking up the car this weekend.

1. 2014 GS350 F-Sport
2. Ultra White / Cabernet
3. Navigation / Mark Levinson
4. RWD
5. No DRS
6. None Yet.
7. Considered BMW 435 Convertible, BMW 535, MB E350 Convertible, MB C63 AMG. GS will be replacing BMW 335 Convertible. This will be my first Lexus too.

Thanks to a lot of the info in this forum I realized that a GS was probably the best option for me at this point and ended up purchasing one of the few new 2013 models left. Here are the details:

1. GS F-sport
2. Liquid Platinum / Black
3. Nav, but no Mark Levinson
4. RWD
5. No DRS
6. I'm considering staying stock, but that usually doesn't work out. The car already has tints because the dealer had put them on. The future mods I'm considering are the Skipper front lip spoiler, Tanabe NF210's, and Vossen CV2's. I'd really like to see the lip and drop in person before I decide though.
7. I was all over the place when deciding on a new car. These are a few of the other cars I considered: X1, X3, 335 (sedan and vert), Q5, MDX, and the new IS 350. This is my first Lexus and I'm coming from a 335 convertible.

I've attached the only pic I have of my new car and a couple of my old car.

Hi all! Picked up my GS yesterday and I'm so excited. Feel like a 5 year old with a new toy. Look forward to getting to know fellow GS owners.

Talking Hey Just Got a 2014 GS 350 F Sport - Ultra White/Cabernet

Proud to be a new owner of my first Lexus, a new 2014 GS 350 AWD F Sport and love it! Never thought I would have chosen a Lexus over BMW but here it is., received a killer deal too: fully loaded F Sport, the interior is what closed the deal for me. lol

Other car i was considering were bmw 535 or x5 lol i know a sedan to suv
but i made the right choice

Mods i would love if you guys can tell me what i can get done or what i should , also please let me know where to buy these mods..
Look forward to being a part of Club Lexus!

Sign me up! I joined the DARK SIDE.

Last night I purchased a used 2013 F Sport, Obsidian exterior (looks like Darth Vader) with charcoal interior. 17k on the clock for about 20 grand less than brand new.

My work commute is much less now, the reported sub 20 MPGs won't hurt too much.

I love the growl and the power. Glad to be back in a Lexus again (owned a 2000 LX 470).

Replaced: 2011 Acura TSX Sport Wagon
Considered: Acura RLX Krell Package, BMW 535 M Sport, BMW 328i Gran Turismo M-Sport, Infiniti M37 Sport

Pics to follow soon. Regards to all.

Just picked up a 2014 GS AWD F Sport - our first GS, second F Sport (we have a 2013 CT 200 F Sport) and our third Lexus (we traded a 2008 IS 250 AWD for the CT). I can't believe how competent the car is and how Sport + changes the car from luxury to sport so thoroughly. It is just great! Thanks to the forum posts everyone - I have been reading the 4th gen GS forum for a couple of months and you all pretty much convinced me to give the GS a test drive.

Thanks! I think it handles very well, but haven't had a chance to really test it out. I do feel the extra mass compared the the E93, but have no complaints because I was looking for a smoother, more comfortable ride and the GS definitely delivers there as well. The car does have to be put into S or S+ mode though for spirited driving. I wish it would remember to stay in the sport modes like it does with economy, but no big deal to make the change.

Congrats! It's definitely different from the vert, but I love the ride. I wanted the same color combo you went with, but I had to work with the existing inventory of 2013's so couldn't be picky. I do miss the Coral Red from the BMW but have no regrets because after seeing the Cabernet in person it wasn't red enough for me, in pics it looks much brighter/redder.

I do miss the drop top, of course, but really need a bit more utility so the 4 door works for me and I'm glad I went with the GS instead of an SUV. Any mods planned for the GS?

I wish... but no mods for me. It doesn't make sense to spend $$$ on a car that I will probably part with after 27 months. That is unless you want to hook me up with some wheels.

Extra mass? really? I would imagine there not to much difference in mass between an overweight 3 series and the GS. Looks like a BMW e93 is just south of 4000lbs. Your Rwd GS should be around 3825lbs. I would have thought the ride would have seemed comparable given the Lexus is larger.
