Picked it up in Nov 2014; CPO with 38k miles
1. GS F-sport
2. Nebula Grey Pearl / Cabernet Interior
3. Nav / No ML
4. RWD
5. No DRS
6. Items already completed - Red out the taillights, spacer kit 15mm/20mm, Painted Brake Calipers, Tinted Windows, LED Interior Trunk light (great mod).
Items in the works - Vinyl wrap the exterior chrome, eventually install some NF210 lowering springs (assuming I can make it up my driveway with them installed), add a little bass to the sound system, Joe Z cat back exhaust, Paint the front grill High Gloss black
7. Replaced a totalled 2005 Audi A4. This was the only make car that I looked into for my purchase. Initially, I was looking at an ES model, then a 3rd Gen GS but I am so glad that I decided on the GS F Sport. Its a fun car to drive.

Dynamic rear steer is actually only standard on GS450h and optional on RWD GS350 F-sport. Unfortunately not available for AWD.

Learning in Washington
I drive my cars until they drop, so I am still driving my 2003 Saab 9-5 (160k and counting). But I am very interested in learning more about the GS. Right now, I favor the F-sport RWD.

Hi, everyone, I'm new to the forum and new to Lexus! My family has owned a few but this is my first, even though I've always been a fan. Picked it up Saturday!
2013, CPO, 40k miles, and CLEEEEEAN.
1. GS 350 F-sport
2. Starfire Pearl/Flaxen (love this interior color)
3. Nav / No ML
4. AWD
5. BSM, PA, Premium Package, Cold Weather Package, No DRS
6. Planned mods? I will certainly tint all around and do the in-motion nav hack. I potentially would like to do a slight drop and spacers to widen up my stance, but I have some research to do prior to those modifications!
7. What other cars were you considering? What did this replace or add to? This will be a daily driver to replace a 2005 Acura TL. This was slightly an opportunity buy; my wife and I had planned to look at a Mercedes GLK350 the afternoon that I bought this. I had always wanted the GS but couldn't find one that met all my criteria at a price I wanted to pay - decided to give one last online check and found the perfect one in my area! Showed up and it was clean so we sealed the deal! The Acura was a great and reliable car and I enjoyed it, but I don't think I'll be missing it any time soon!

Is Lexus falling behind?
My 2nd Lexus is a '13 GS 450h - everything on it. Love the car, the seat comfort, unbelievable mpg, quick, etc. There is nothing I do not like about the car PLUS zero problems in 40K. BUT - I always roll over after 3 years - which is 2016. I am looking at the options offered on Lexus compared to other cars; they simply DO NOT exist e.g., smart key card (was on the RX), LDWS, LKAS, AEB and adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability. All the comparable cars (Audi, Merc etc) have these options. Even the Hyundai Genesis has all this with a 30K less price tag!
I drive from Toronto to Arizona every year; as an older "guest" (73), I want all the current safety technology of the day. Lexus used to be the LEADER in Technology; now they are laggards. Why?
I also wonder why in all my travels I see so few GS models; I have seen less than a handful of GS450h cars and not many more GS 350's. On the other hand, I am overflowed with Audi, Mercedes, Infinity etc. Why? Something is wrong. The price of the 450h is high but no significant difference from the loaded E350 or S6. Is Lexus doing that poor of a job marketing the GS?
Well, my car does have "Nightview"; I am sure it is an expensive option (in the package so no idea of the individual price). I am still not sure what value this affords me. If I did use it, I would be in the ditch! Then this other option that is supposed to watch me as I drive; I have tried to test the effectiveness of this option, to no avail.
So - what do I do this fall. I would like another GS450h. But I want the new safety technology that is even on Hyundais and a Ford Focus! I can only hope the 2016 450h comes into the 21st century.
