This top down view is the best view of the car IMO, and it should be the view you get walking up to the car. Interestingly it's also the best view of the CT IMO.

Perhaps this car will look far better in person, but still those fangs are just stupid and I will continue to complain about them.

with mb's past reliability issues, they just had to make sure

Perfectly fine with me. Wish they would test it even more

When you say fangs, are you referring to the area below the foglights that curve in, then stick out at the edge? Or the strange chrome lines extending down from the edges of the grille? Both these spots are minor complaints of mine.

Trunk closes by itself (Its powered)

After the reveal was over they kept opening and closing it when loading stuff inside ... it probably would have been easier to just keep it open haha

i'm loving the design, can't wait to see what the F-Sport looks like!
from the vids i saw, the front is really chiseled that isn't captured well in photos. also loving the tail light design, the LED headlight option, and that gorgeous interior. i like what Lexus is doing with the design and focusing also on driving dynamics and performance aspects, hopefully they keep it up with the 3IS and next gen IS-F! (as a side note, the updates for 2012 IS-F is impressive, i'm loving it).

Now what they need to do is start introducing new engines and put in the 8-speed transmission in more of their cars, and give us more coupes! (real coupes, not hard-top convertible).

I'm referring to the chrome lines that extend into the grill pointlessly. I prefer the way it was done on the CT and the concept where the chrome did not extend. This just ruins the front end IMO.

FYI....if history is any indication, Lexus always makes significant improvements in year two of a new model. I expect the LS tranny (or the GS460's tranny), an optional turbo or supercharged 6 (maybe a twin turbo four but that would be a stretch) and possibly new rims. From an eco perspective, Lexus missed the mark. Car should be 200 lbs lighter, get better mpg and and boast about a carbon fiber hood and trunk.

The car isn't a home run (more like a double stretched into a triple).

Other then a fresh exterior/interior, mechanically we're looking at a 2007-2011 GS350.

They maybe saving some of the weight saving goodies to put on a GS-F, at least that's what I hope for ...

I love those fangs, and they will look particularly good on the darker color cars , don't like them ? get a white or silver car and they won't stand out as much
