I agree! It would be a natural for peasodos to do this simple 'mod'. He's a hero now, but if he did this mod he'd be a Super Hero!

With some GS 350 owners wanting significantly more horsepower and are willing to spend big bucks to get it, I'm a bit surprised that no one has sought to replace their GS 350 3.5L normally-aspirated V6 engine with the V35A-FTS 3.4L Twin Turbo V6 engine that powers the LS 500 with 416 hp @ 6,000 rpm and 442 lb.-ft. @ 1,600 rpm. This engine is bound to be in a junkyard somewhere in a totaled (2017-present) LS 500. I don't know that it will, but the Twin Turbo engine might just fit right in. The engine should easily get over 500 horsepower and over 500 lb.-ft. of low-end torque by increasing the boost just a few psi. That should please the power hungry!

That is an interesting idea. But I can’t imagine anyone would really do such a thing...wouldn’t buying a GSF engine be an thing to do?

People have been putting different engines in their cars for a long time. Some are easier to install than others. Some are less costly than others.

For example, the 2.0L turbo engine in the little 2nd Gen Toyota MR2 two-seat, mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive sports car has been swapped for a 3.5L V6 many, many times. Cost or difficulties are not an issue where there's a will to do it...because people find a way to do it! Unfortunately there will likely be no one that will put the LS500 engine in a 4GS...
