No idea. I assume it is a bad joke, although very well written and believable.
Not to mention the totally weird F SPORT "PARTS" wording on the front plate.

That is real, is an official announcement from Lexus on the GS-F. Are you guys just refusing to believe that it only will have 461 hp?

I called it years ago, it will be nothing but a current IS-F drivetrain in the new GS chassis and body. With the engine turn up a bit. Even the 465 hp rumor from a very long time ago was real!

TOLD YOU GUYS

That was just a picture from the JDM F-Sport parts catalog. Since there is no offical picture yet.

I don't CARE ABOUT POWER, I'm just asking if this is legit or an April fools joke? I've been saying they can use an uprated IS-F engine for months, so I don't think this isn't feasible or potentially real.

When it is too good to be true, then it isn't.
April fools.

I think the "real" GS-F will be announced, probably sometime NEXT year.

I don't think it is a joke. Everything make sense and is what I think the reality will be.

If it said it got the LFA's 4.8L V10 with twin turbo making 700 hp, with a 10 speed auto, 0-60 in 3.0 seconds. Then is too good to be true.

That spec is more like is too lame to be a joke.

The only think too good to be true is the 3850 lbs curb weight, when I just read a Road & Track test report that say the GS350 F-Sport they tested weigh 3950 lbs. This GS-F will be over 4000 lbs in reality.

That is a very sophisticated detailed article to be a joke.
Whoa you're actually taking it seriously. The "PR" isn't even that well written to be honest (quite a few passages with questionable English usage or inconsistent spellings such as "IS-F" (should be without a dash), "v8" (should be uppercase V), etc.), and CL is the only place on the Internet to have this "PR". It's mostly just copy-and-pastes from Lexus' past PRs with minor alterations here and there.

It doesn't look like the 'official' PR is at CL, just a copy of it. So the mistakes can be a given. But this is the only site that is claiming it. I think this is the telling part. Although I hope it's true. The curb weight may be 3850 with lighter body parts? We'll see soon I guess.

Well how about the fact that the GS image embedded above the article is conveniently named "april-fools.jpg"? (try right-clicking on the image and do a "Save As")

Also, MPG listed at 18/29....and the article isn't sure if it's 2013 or 2014 model. No official press release would have those mistakes

Horrible Joke.. I thought April fools was for elementary school kids.. GS-F needs to compete with M5 and E63AMG 461hp and 401tq though would be very nice in comparison to what we've got to choose from right NOW its not enough to compete and would only be a reason for the German Super Sedan guys to Laugh at us.. I was not amused by this joke
