Going to stoke the fire a bit here. I got my R&T issue in the mail today. In the section where they talk about all the changes across the various brands & models, they said to (paraphrased) "Keep your eye out for a 500hp GS-F".
I actually hope one doesn't come out. Because then I need to explain to my wife how my 350 AWD F-Sport is suddenly inadequately equipped to help me take care of the family and provide safe transport for our child(ren). I have a feeling that she won't understand...

I hope it doesn't come out too, because I would want it. I am really glad the V10 is definitely not making it, because I would sell everything and buy one immidiately
No offence to your fine car, but is 100% true that a GS350 F-Sport is inadequately equipped (powertrain wise) for 2013, where a $47k Hyundai Genesis R-Spec is rocking a 430 hp 5.0L V8, a 300 hp V6 in a $70k Lexus is not cutting it. That V6 was great in 2006 in a $45k IS350, but not in a $70k GS in 2013. Even the lesser $65k Infiniti M56 got 420 hp a few years ago.
A 500 hp GS-F is really just on par with everything else, nothing crazy either. All midsize luxury high performance sedan are 500+ hp starting from a few years ago, they are all pushing 600 hp now.
I hope it doesn't come out too, because I would want it. I am really glad the V10 is definitely not making it, because I would sell everything and buy one immidiately

My mom can't tell a ES from a LS. It would take an Aventador with the doors opened for her to tell it is a different car.

My wife is actually great with everything in reason. As long as I'm not spending our childrens university funds, I think she'd generally accept anything.
Good call on swapping for the exact same color combo. She would probably notice though (even if the F-Sport and GS-F look almost the same). I've made her as particular about swirls (I was gifted many from the dealer) and scuffs (none so far) that she'd notice a brand new car sitting on the driveway, even if it did have the exact same body.

Oh, and also as a note for BNR34. I considered the Genesis 5.0. At the end of the day, I was sold on more than just the powertrain. And like dseag2 said, what I have in my car is more than sufficient. I'd love more, but don't regret my decision one little bit.

other than that i have no problems or regrets or buyers remorse. a 500 HP Lexus GS-F,,, as a daily driver???? when will you or how many times will you get to really take advantage of all that power.???? i think most want it for bragging rights. I WOULD BUY IT IN A HEARTBEAT

No offence to you but IMHO your thinking is a little skewed.
Majority of 5 series PURCHASED in NA are 535i and 528i costing a few thousand more than a comparably equipped GS350 and with comparable hp. Same with Audi A6 and MB E350.
What Hyundai is doing is undercutting the entire market : they're the exception, not the norm.
V8s and >500hp sedans are probably less than 5% of all luxury/mid-luxury sedans purchased in NA. The discrepancy becomes even more pronounced when considering world-wide sales where the rest of the world doesn't share the US obsession with V8s.

I understand why limited amount of people might want 500hp GS-F, but that doesnt make GS350 "inadequately equipped". I had one for 3 years, and I actually get to drive 100mph legally unlike you, so no, it was not "inadequately equipped".

There is definitely room under the hood for a larger engine. Although, seeing as how the 4GS almost didn't make production, I find it very hard to believe a GS-F will make it, unless the 4GS blows sales forecasts out of the water (which it is not).
