Flipside, I thought I read/saw somewhere that the new turn signal arm is more electronic, in that it doesn't click in place for full turns and click back, it's more like the BMW's, where you fully click it up to initiate the signal, but it immediately returns to the center position. Is that true?

it works both ways, and you can configure quick tap to be 3, 5 or 7 blinks.

 

That's correct. The new turn signal stalk is fashioned after the Europeans. It took getting used to because if you push down all the way past the first detent, the signal stays on until you cancel it or turn the wheel to auto cancel it.
