Gas Mileage on New GS 350 F Sport
Owner of a New GS 350 F Sport. According to the specs this car gets around 28MPG Highway. After a week of using this car on a full tank I noticed that I am wasting the same amount of gas as my V8 2007 LS 460 that I just traded in. Any thoughts on that?

Give it at least a 1000 miles to break in before you actually see decent results. the 3.5L V6 in the new GS is a very efficient motor. People have been known to get up to 30mpg on the highway on previous gen models with the same 2GR-FSE in their IS 350 and GS 350. The most I ever got on my 07 GS 350 was 30.5mpg on the highway during a long distance drive from LA to SF.

First of all, I've owned more cars than most (57) and I don't believe in the break-in theory. What I believe is that most people drive their car differently the first few weeks when they are having fun with the new toy, learning the ins and out of it, and are probably using the car to go run local errands just as an excuse to drive the new car.
My 2010 GS (exact same powertrain) never gets below 25 for a tankful. My driving is obviously biased towards easy freeway driving, but that is still a mix. I easily get 28-30 in pure freeway driving, even at 80 mph.

Gas Mileage
Thanks guys for the review...Here is a couple of pics of the car....I currently have 200 miles on it as ive drove it about a week and half..Enjoy the pics...Im not sure about how people feel about the Heads Up Display but I think its awesome. First lexus I have had this on and I find myself using it all the time. Keeps me in speed if you know what I mean. As for the weather, its good to be in Miami. I have a snow button on my car which I have no clue what is does...lol

Update after 2nd week of driving
Here is an update after driving it for the 2nd week to and from work. I am at 400 Miles now and I have to say on my old LS 460 I couldnt not make it a full week without filling up. I would fill up on Sundays and then on Thursday fill up again over $70. I filled up my tank last week at $63 and right now its Friday and I am just underneath a half tank. You guys were right about the break in period. Every week it seems to get better and better. At this rate I will probably go until Monday or Tuesday before filling up. Here is a picture of my 2007 LS460 which I had put 22 inch rims on. It was a great car but I had to turn it in as my lease was up. Sold it to the dealer with rims and all. This new GS can easily make you forget your old car if you know what I mean.
