Do you homework people!!!! Go to the lexus website and read all the standard features.

Here is description:
Power-adjustable, power-folding outside mirrors with turn indicators, defoggers, puddle lamps and auto tilt-down in reverse

It is standard like the older GS!

hahhaa even my ls460l i disabled it. given the kind of parking space size i would actually utilize, i don't think folding mirrors are really needed

Sad day in Lexus. They killed the power folding mirrors and power locking trunk on the 4GS!!
On a long drive on the highway with quiet traffic, I fold in the mirrors to help reduce drag and save on gas.

I am so baffled why they will remove such a common features seen on all cars now!

See this photo of the "power-folding" mirrors.

I believe thats a typo. Not all cars have it. CT 200h, HS250h, ES350 and 2nd Gen IS have had the power folding feature in the Europe and Asia markets for years, we've never had it on all models here in the US. Toyota included.

Official documentation on New GS:

"Heated electrochromic auto-dimming retractable outside review mirrors and reverse tilt-down functions and puddle lamps with integrated turn signals"

Damn, that sucks. I actually use mine mutiple times a day when I drive, I always pull them in when I park and when I get in the garage.

Really odd since these sideview mirrors are larger and surely protrude more.

I also like the auto close trunk. Shame to see that go.

Well, I didn't say to do it on a busy road.
Side mirrors are the necessary evil in automotive aero-dynamic.

to be fair if they have the closure system on the trunk like that in the 3gs, then might as well drop it. it's so useless. personally i think for cars in this league given today's technology, auto power open/close should be available

Is an auto opening trunk really that much of a convenience? I'm seriously asking b/c I've never had it on my cars. Pressing a button to open the trunk requires the same effort as putting my hand on the button bar on the 3GS trunk lid, IMO.
