I guess I think like a Lexus Engineer.. OFF means off...
Turning the car off preserves gas & battery for longer usage time period
The battery will die quicker if all the major electronics remained On after the motor is turned Off.
For me, when I turn off my motor, I exit my car 99.9% of the time.
I'm very sure they don't want to give away 1-2 batteries per owner inside the 4yr/50k warranty..

there is. a lot of people here including me have their system to override our nav here in the US (and enable video)

Too bad, I was hoping that since they now have BMW-like turn signals that the radio and bluetooth would keep working after you turn off the car but don't open the door...like in a BMW.
