To jman-is350,

Considering the premium cars you won/used to own, it would be very interesting if you could compare the ride/handling and luxury of your GS350 to the other cars in your stable.

Not all of us have the opportunity/time to test drive these cars back-to-back with the GS and also your perspective as a long-term owner vs just a 30 min test-drive would be illuminating.

So far, there's been a lot of early hype over the 4GS handling/interior. We'd like to know if the gloss still remains after prolonged ownership or if some negative aspects start to manifest.

Thanks in advance for your time.

My latest 4dr sedan was the 2010 E63, although, the 13GS doesnt come close to the brute force acceleration of the AMG but it does edge out in the handling department, it provides more confident cornering as well as a calm and composed ride while cruising at city/freeway speed. The two modes Sport S & Sport S+ alter throttle mapping to increase throttle responses, hold revs longer, the steering feedback is spot on, the suspension is more refined which translates to dramatic improvement in handling and driving dynamic. My E63 felt like a floaty, an oversized Cadillac sedan which can get boring pretty quick with just go-fast acceleration.

The Fsport has very aggressive front fascia, the new DRL lights are stunning at night, although, Lexus should have included the fog lights, good choice of 19" wheels design and the interior is gorgeous. The new NAV screen is huge, 12.3" of high-res display which helps out the blind folks like me, the position of the analog clock enhances the prestige-ness of the car and did I mention that while the car at rests, my 3 1/2 yrs old son can enjoy his favorite Shrek series.

The car is my wife's DD, I only get to drive it occasionally but we will keep this car for many years to come due to the whole package that it offers us. I've no doubt that the 4GS will continues to have strong sale numbers and I hope my 2 cents help you in some shape or form.

I know the power isn't close to the GTR, but how does the match of DD comfort with the ability to "get the twisties" on demand compare to the GTR?

Thanks for the feedback! How is the handling/steering feel of the 4GS compared to the Porches/GTR you own/used to own?

Yes, the GTR is too rough for a DD car.
