they told me money factor is 0.00275! They won't go anything lower, well, today is the first day of contact. I will wait till tomorrow and see. Meanwhile, I am contacting BMW!

.00275 money factor * 2400 = 6.6% APR...yikes!

Default How does this offer sound?

i just put my deposit down on the following deal (dealer #2). All specs are below for 36 mo lease, 10K miles.

Dealer 1 offer:
$55,900 MSRP
$52,000 agreed selling price
$3,500 total down (tax, title, fees included)
$592 per month

Dealer 2 offer (same as above + $499 remote start):
$56,482 MSRP
$52,252 agreed selling price
$3,500 total down (tax, title, fees included)
$599 per month

Notes: Getting $1000 from Carmax for my A6 payoff and $1000 for Lexus driving event so only $1,500 actually out of pocket. I had a better deal but lost it when they took away the conquest rebate.

Let me know what you think guys. Faifai, I know you're dying to chime in, lol. (Your thoughts are appreciated actually.)

Initial Thoughts:
- Use Multiple Security Deposits instead of a down payment to buy down your money factor
- Cash Price is: invoice + ~$500

Few Questions:
- What was the money factor?
- What was the lease inception fee?
- What was the residual?
- Does the monthly payment include tax?

Assuming:
- 66% residual
- $500 Title & Tags
- .002625 Money Factor/6.3% APR
- 8% Sales Tax included in payment
- $800 Lease Acquisition Fee

- I come up with a $597/mth payment.

Based upon the assumptions above, the money factor is too high...

wow...so much calculation goes into leasing...i seriously never knew!

this thread has been extremely useful and it makes getting a brand new 2013 4GS much more do-able!

Up to how many MSD's can one put towards a new Lexus?

Would it be smart to max out on MSD's and add cash for CCR to lower my monthly? Or should I never put cash down on a lease?

Sorry for my noob questions, and sorry if it's in the wrong thread. I'm *very* new to leasing (and to CL forums )

i was able to only apply 9 MSD's to my lease of my 2007 GS350. when i was talking to my dealer about the 4th gen GS, he told me i could still do the same to buy down the MF and lower my payment. imo, its worthwhile to max out MSD's.

Yes. Max out on MSD.

Avoid putting cash down payment on a lease.

but doesnt putting cash down apply towards the total "used" amount of the vehicle during the term of the lease?

so if my lease is worth 30% of the overall value, doesnt the cash down apply towards the 30%, which in essence helps reduce my monthly payment?

or i totally wrong? lol!

Thanks Faifai, here are the actuals:
- What was the money factor? .00190
- What was the lease inception fee? Inception absorbed by dealer
- What was the residual? 66%
- Does the monthly payment include tax? Yes
-Sales Tax is 8.875%

At the end of the day total cash delivered is $3500 in exchange for the keys. I'm going to explore the MSD too.
