but doesnt putting cash down apply towards the total "used" amount of the vehicle during the term of the lease?
so if my lease is worth 30% of the overall value, doesnt the cash down apply towards the 30%, which in essence helps reduce my monthly payment?
or i totally wrong? lol!

Thanks Faifai, here are the actuals:
- What was the money factor? .00190
- What was the lease inception fee? Inception absorbed by dealer
- What was the residual? 66%
- Does the monthly payment include tax? Yes
-Sales Tax is 8.875%
At the end of the day total cash delivered is $3500 in exchange for the keys. I'm going to explore the MSD too.

After putting in $5000 in additional fees..do I then come up with your monthly payment after such a hefty down payment.
I assumed $500 Registration Fee already and $0 Lease Inception Fee.
.0019 * 2400 money factor = 4.56% APR is way too high.

Based upon the numbers provided, I'm unable to come up with the ~$599 payment.
...by adding another $5000 in additional fees, do I then come up to $599/mth...

The best offer I could get.....
The best here, from the dealer where I just bought a new RX, was $500 under MSRP on the GS F Sport. I passed.I have been happy with my SC400 for the past 18 years, so I am in no hurry to replace it. The dealer says he will be able to do better on the GS in a couple of months. He is usually pretty fair. He offered me a new IS350C for $1000 under invoice a few months ago.

Invoice pricing
When the salesman shows you the invoice price he is willing to let you have the car for, that is not a real invoice price ( as that is not what the dealer paid). That so called invoice price can be a few thousand more than what the dealer paid. You think they could stay in business if they sold you the car for what they paid for it. There are presently no holdbacks or kickbacks from the manufacturer. So how do you think he makes his profit?

to me, it's now just become another "sales" tactic stealerships use to try to lure us ignorant buyers into thinking they're working for us in getting us the best deal. sad part is, those people who dont do their homework and research ahead fall for this (as well as many other stealership tactics). SIGH
My 2 cents.
