Price thread - what kind of deal did you get?
#451
I am having a hard time getting a good lease deal on an F Sport here in NJ. No one is coming close to invoice on these. On Base models I can get a better deal but F Sports no. Perhaps it's because of the scarcity of the F Sports? Generally there are on 2-4 per dealer.
For basic F Sports at $58,997. I am told there is a $750 payment with first month and 3 MSD's upfront on a 36mo/10K lease. One salesman told me because the car is so rare I am lucky to get conquest plus $1,000 off the cars price and no dealer wants to order one for you. I have seen no F Sports here with ML, or HUD.
Where can I get a good deal on these in NJ?

There are still plenty of deals to be had. Go to a large dealer. You should be able to get an F Sport close to invoice. You will probably do better if you wait until the end of the month or August. Also, put the max MSDs possible which is 9x. Always have the dealer confirm the MF in writing since they can mark it up. I bought a luxury model and I was able to get several good quotes within 50 miles of Bergen. You can't get it in NY since they are not allowed to use MSDs.

It's also the scarcity of the F Sports that hurts the deal. Most dealers, even the large ones I have called have 4 or 5 cars max on the lots and do not want to place an order. One large dealer in Central NJ had only 1 F Sport to last them until August when they would be receiving more. Even Prestige told me they are not going to get nowhere close to invoice, because these cars are rare. They did seem to be more inclined to talk about significant discounts on the Base or Luxury models.

Not that there were that many compared to Base models, but it seems like I could get a little better deal on them than F Sports. It's really the Base models that have the better residuals now.

I am looking to trade in my 07 GS350 on a new F sport. Anybody know if you can buy at invoice in South Florida? What about dealer fees? What are dealers asking & how negotiable are they?

I don't think the rates changed but the attitudes of some dealers seamed to have. I did get a call back from a couple of dealers and I ended up working on a great deal in one day. It seems like either because of the sales event or just a coincidence, but dealers are more willing to deal......Oh and it's coming on the end of the month too!

How do I find invoice price?
I'm planning to buy:
GS 350 F Sport
silver with flaxen
MS
Park assist
BSM
The lowest quote I have is "1,500 below invoice" over the phone. Sounds to good to be true, or is it?
Anyways, I was wondering if someone can tell me how to determine the invoice price for this car.
I checked Edmunds: $53,521. Does that sound about right?
Thanks!
