The lowest quote I have is "1,500 below invoice" over the phone. Sounds to good to be true, or is it?
Anyways, I was wondering if someone can tell me how to determine the invoice price for this car.
I checked Edmunds: $53,521. Does that sound about right?

Thanks!
$1.5k below invoice is great! What part of CA are you in?

Smile Got my GS!

Parked a GS F Sport in my garage this evening
Bought it at Colliseum. The sales guys were nice: super efficient, frank, relaxed.
I think I got a good deal for this area. Next higher quote I got was $4k more!

Here are the details and a few pics.

2013 GS 350 F Sport
Liquid Platinum with Flaxen interior
Mark Levinson stereo
Navigation
BSM, PA

MSRP: $57,822
Invoice: $54,371
Deal: $1,500 off invoice
Price after discount: $52,871
$5,000 down

Rate: 2.25
36 months, 12k miles
$5,000 down
Residual: 60% (seemed low but I thought the rate was good so didn't push)

Monthly payment including tax: $665

Holdback is ~3%...so seems like they made $200 on the cash price!

...out of curiosity, why did you put a down payment on a lease?

...or in other terms, would you put $5000 down payment on the rent for your apartment to lower your monthly payments?

Anyone get invoice in Ohio? Cleveland dealers are not dealing. 2-2.5% off sticker is it, plus conquest.

That's great MF! Was the $5000 used as a refundable deposit to lower the MF?

Best I'm getting so far is 0.00165 without any deposits.

And that's on a 36mon, 15k, 58% residual on an F sport.

No, that's not a refundable deposit to lower MF. I was surprised at how low it was too!

Nice car IN and OUT.

Factor your $5000 down payment, you paid about $800+ monthly for the lease. Is that a good lease for this class?

Assuming you can get 2.25% for finance and 8% sales tax, you would pay about $110 more per month (for 5 years) to finance this car. The good thing here is you can get a NEW car 35 months from now. Congrats.

If the MF is better than the finance APR. It might definitely be an option for you. Keep in mind you do have a mileage limit. Many people with businesses can deduct their lease as an expense. So on this lease you'll pay about 4-5k in interest but you save up to 8k in taxes. Makes a whole lot of sense.

60% residual after 3 yrs? That seems about 8% too high.

As for leasing, never a good idea to put ANY money down. Put down as little as possible. I know of three people who put down substantial dollars on 3 & 4 year leases only to have their car's totaled within the first couple years. They kissed that money good-bye.

Agree about not putting money down on a lease.

A better use of money down is to apply it as a REFUNDABLE multiple security deposit (MSD) to lower you lease interest rate. It varies but right now for every MSD put down, your interest rate is reduced by 0.192%.

MSD is calculated by rounding your monthly lease payment to the nearest higher $25. So if your payment is $783, each MSD is $800. You can put in a max of 9 MSD and lower your rate by 1.728%. The $7200 will be returned to you a couple weeks after your lease terminates.

cash price is good.
Did you finance or lease?

If so, what was the APR/money factor?Did you have a trade-in? If so, how was the trade in relative to the true market value?Did you buy add-ons? If so, which ones? (extended warranty, extended maintenance, paint protection, leather protection etc)
