You're in Texas, what was your sales tax on that purchase? If you don't mind me asking.
As for the deal, you obviously bought the car in December, its a different world out there in January.

I'd be interested to know given the poster's above "tax credits" that took his taxes from $3.600 to $500.
The rebates have decreased since December, as has inventory. You wont be able to get AS good a deal now as you could have in January.
I believe the loyalty rebate has been reduced from $1,500 to $1,000, but its still out there.

Congrats on the car and the deal! This is the exact car I'm looking for but how did you get it at 52,500 OTD I'm in California and I know the tax is different but the dealer sold you the car for around 49,000k?
That seems really low on an msrp of 56.5k, can you share any tips on how to get that? Did you get any of the lexus discounts?
If you don't mind sharing what apr they gave you through LFS, I want to finance through lfs too.
Thank you in advance!

according to edmunds:
1000 loyalty expires 2/4/13
1000 conquest expires 2/4/13
750 military expires 1/2/14
apr 2.6
down 10,000. that extra 2,500 is probably the "rebate"

I know how to calculate a lease, in fact I think its safe to say I'm pretty much an expert on it. If there were "tax credits", they came from the state of Texas, not from Lexus or the dealer. The dealer cannot just waive the sales tax, they are required to collect the sales tax when the vehicle is registered...its the law.
I'm not doubting your deal, I'm just saying to everybody else who might compare their deals to yours, your deal was in a large part due to whatever process going on in the state of Texas that reduced the amount of tax you owed, not because you negotiated an incredible deal. You got a great deal, no doubt, but your low payment was the result of the fact that you basically paid no sales tax...everybody else is going to have to pay either sales tax or a monthly use tax, depending on their state.

Dude...don't get so defensive. Nobody is doubting your deal, but the fact is you had a special/unusual circumstance that allowed your dealer to waive $3,100 of the sales tax, otherwise your deal would be impossible. Either you traded a car, or the dealer mistakenly put into the figures that you traded a car (the printout you provided says you traded a car and that effected the tax you were charged, on line 15 it says "Tax Less Trade: Y for yes).
We know another member from TX bought a car the same time as you...and did have to pay the appropriate amount of sales tax. We know that because he too provided the figures for us.
Bottom line, somehow you got out of paying sales tax on your car. Whether the dealer wanted to retain you or not doesn't mean they can just not charge you the sales tax, it must be charged by law. Could have been a dealer error. Maybe he did something fancy and somehow got the deal to reflect you trading a car in when you had no trade, or maybe you did indeed have a trade, maybe there was some sort of sales tax credit or holiday on vehicle leases but not purchases at that time last month, which would explain why Mush had to pay tax, because he bought, but the bottom line is your deal involved you not paying $3,100 in sales tax you should have paid by TX law, and everybody needs to understand that when they compare deals they have open to them to yours.
Someone looking here cannot expect to be able to achieve a deal as good as yours because they will have to pay sales tax. Bottom line. If they are paying more, it doesn't mean its a bad deal.

Hey Guys!
You inspired me to make my purchase! Got my GS350 F sport Nebula/black!
Options
- F sport
- blind spot
- ML
-park assist
- accessory package
- navigation
Here is my deal on purchase!
MSRP=57,842
Sale price= 52,261
Tax = 4187 (California 8.0%)
License and registration and anything else = 549
Lexus conquest = $-1,000
OTD = $55,990
I think I got a pretty good deal, I'm sure there is better out there but based on msrp and sale price that is a discount of $5,581! So I'm happy!
Got 2.99 APR through LFS best they could offer ( I called three dealers to confirm all said the same)
Thanks to everyone who posted deals, just thought I would contribute to the community and hopefully someone can get a better deal from seeing mine!

Assuming a 60 month term, you're paying an extra $4732.09 in interest.
With that said, your deal is really -$1000 off MSRP after you factor in the $4732 in interest you'll be paying to LFS over the next 5 years!
