Price thread - what kind of deal did you get?

Currently in negotiations with my local dealer here in Miami for a GS F Sport. They will not budge on anything below MSRP until their August "Golden Opportunity" promotion.
Their excuse is that LFS will NOT let them do anything below MSRP. I mentioned to them that lots of people are getting deals well below MSRP and even invoice.
If I can furnish any type of proof, they'd be willing to negotiate on pricing and possibly match.
If anyone would be kind enough to send me their quote/deal via email (block out dealer info, personal info, VIN etc) , that would REALLY help me out big time ! They just want to see numbers. The local manager said he doesnt care about the dealer etc... From what I understand, this will probably be the first dealer to go below MSRP in the east coast. Need your help fellow enthusiasts!

I can send over my docs...and can also imagine the response... "oooh, but that is in CA, we're in FL" ...or "thats for a non F Sport...you want the F Sport and we don't discount on these!"

You do have the option of getting the car from a dealership in a different state - they will send the car to you via flatbed (you can even do all the paperwork over Email/fax/phone-calls). Dealerships in CA are willing to go close to Invoice. Yeah, it is a little scary (at least to me), but the car is fully insured till you accept delivery

Fai got it for invoice but he/she got another $1,000.00 (from Lexus) for the drive event. No one has gotten $1,000.00 off invoice WITHOUT some type of Lexus credit. Conquest, etc.
As far as I can tell, no one has gotten the car on the EAST COAST for less than $2,000.00 over invoice. I guess it is just ecomonics (supply and demand theory).

Just sent a price inquiry to Keyes Lexus in Van Nuys, CA. Lets see what they have to say.
UPDATE: Got a call from a sales guy from Keyes Lexus. They will not do an out of state deal on a lease.

Northern NJ Deal
Picked up car end of February
Liquid Platinum w/flaxen interior
Luxury package/cold weather package/Nav/Blindspot and Parking assist
MSRP $59,292
Leased for 36mo 12K miles/yr
Paid only fees upfront (bank fee, mv fees, doc fees and first payment)
Qualified for conquest rebate.
Initial lease with tax in payment was $718/mo based on approx $55,000 sell price, 62% residual and .0018 money factor.
I took advantage of multiple security deposit option and gave Lexus $5,850 refundable security deposit and reduced money factor to .00108 and payment to $643/mo.
Works out to a 15% rate of return ($75/mo x 12 =$900/yr) on my money and I know Lexus refunds it at end of lease because I've done it before.
Hope this helps some of you in negotiations.

With luxury package the residual is 3% lower. Money factor was .0018 and reduced by .00008 for each of 9 security deposits. (9x.00008=.00072). So .0018-.00072=.00108. Don't know if this is the same in all regions.

Silly question, Financially speaking:
Would it make sense to lease or buy fully in cash (if available) -if we suppose that we would drive no more than a 1000 miles a month a car worth $60k?

In order to determine the pros/cons of Lease vs purchase, you'd also need to factor in how long you plan to keep the car.

From what i read here, it seems to me that most people on the forum lease their cars. Never in my life I leased a car... and I'm unfamiliar with the process.
