2013 GS350 AWD and my 2008 GS450h
i was invited to attend (by invitation only) and see the all new GS350 AWD, and to test drive the various models they had on site. location was very near a small local airport with lots of tarmac and pylon cones for putting the new GS in its paces. here are some pics of the new GS side by side with my GSh:

here's the tarmac & pyons where we got to test drive the GS350 AWD, GS350 RWD, IS-F....
on the other side of the pylons (far right), there are more pylons. here, a professional driver takes you and your passengers on a "spirited" ride going through more pylons at high speed. unfortunately we were not allowed to get behind the wheel for this type of driving lol!

First observation is that the 4GS doesn't make the 3GS look old when sitting side-by-side. Looks kind of like a GS and an ES. Also, the 3GS has a much nicer @ss. To me, the performance aspect and interior are where the 4GS are improvements.

Pole Position
Firstly, that 4th Gen GS350 was the AWD version so it sits up higher than normal. Secondly the GS450h was modded with larger aftermarket wheels.
IMO, the new GS looks larger, more imposing and more majestic, sort of like a mini-LS in terms of proportions and shape--which also explains it more useable trunk and interior. Maybe it sacrifices some of the more sleek and sporty lines of the 3GS in order to bring back some functionality (like carrying 4 people in comfort and being able to carry more luggage in a road trip) but I'd take that trade-off anytime.
Besides, it may LOOK less sporty than the 3GS but it'll definitely DRIVE far better than the 3GS and I tend to prize substance over flash.

thx!
lol, yeah i love my jdm fogs. the 4GS handled very well in the test drive around the pylons, i was impressed. until you actually get behind the wheel and drive it, you don't know how well the 4GS drives. as for LFA, it was for show only. they turned the engine on, sounded really nice. the LFA will be super rare up here in canada, as there is only 10 alloted to our country, with only 5 to our province.
