The F-Sport has a built in DVD player. However it is only accessible while the car is parked.

In all my previous monitor installs I have taken the wire from the monitor that relays into the parking brake and grounded it. That fixed the "only playable in park" issue.

The F-sport has no "old school" physical parking brake, that & I have no idea what wire relays that information. Does anyone have any info on this. I am looking forward to hearing the input from the community.

fwiw since 2010, ground parking brake on lexus won't do the dvd trick anymore.

i don't know about the 4gs yet, but wouldn't be surprised if it's even harder. traditional parking brake or electronic parking brake shouldn't really matter. ls460 always has electronic parking brake and 07-09 were relatively easy to enable dvd playback

i applaud you guys that do these things to new cars. i would be to scared that something would go wrong. does doing something like this void any portion of your bumber to bumber warranty?

that's why you go plug and play, so if anything you remove it and back to factory for warranty work
