Default Just joined the family!

Just traded a 2008 IS-F in on a 2013 AWD in Riviera Red over black with the luxury package and must say I am quite happy with the new car. Quite a difference in ride quality and the level of technology sure has changed in the 5 model years since I purchased the '08. I hope to be chatting with and learning from you good folks in the future.

Congrats! I saw your post in the ISF forum, and have to say, I am also leaning towards a new GS. I had usually had BMW M cars, and like the performance, but now that I'm like 46, I'm wondering if I would really like all the power and performance of the ISF, or the More refined ride, and softer suspension of the newer and more practical GS...?

CAn you give me your impressions of the ISF compared to the GS, from the fun, and gas and butt meter.

Oh! and show us the Pix!

As the GS only has 10 miles on the clock, I won't be able to tell you about seat-of-the-pants feel for a while (178 miles per the manual) or the gas mileage, but it isn't as fun as the IS-F nor does it stir your soul on start-up and when the secondary induction system opened up on the "F:.

On the plus side, my tired ol' knees appreciate the higher seating height and I really like all the electronics updates. Lexus has a feature that "gets around" not being able to enter NAV data while moving. They call it "Enform" and it is a free service for a year. You press a "connect" button and a person asks you what you want or where you want to go. They find the location and immediately download it to the NAV unit which starts the navigation process. Pretty slick plus lots of other features that 5 years of development have brought.

First off, congrats on your fine purchase sir. Just like the gentleman above stated, you really feel like you are sitting in an office with all the info and technology all at your finger tips. You can check stock, weather, traffic, etc, etc... At the same time, you can also make it feel like you just stepped out of the office and into a sports car at a flip of a switch or stepping on the pedal to hear that engine roar I came from an Audi TT and definitely realized that I was really missing out on the quietness, refinement, smoothness, and overall comfortable feeling of a true luxury car. Enjoy your car sir. ~Tu

Long time no see. Congrats on the purchase. The new GS is definitely a great drive even compared to our IS F's. The seating position is very good, the improved steering feel (imho feels better than ISF), and of course all the tech features it has. Please share pics when you get a chance.
