Default Gap between trunk lid and spoiler (F-sport)

Hey guys,

I feel like I'm really taking advantage of the forum with my posts, so mods please let me know if I should stop creating new threads.

This is for all people who have an F-Sport - have you noticed a gap between the trunk lid and spoiler (the end facing the car, not the road)? I was just looking over my car and noticed a bunch of pine needs had crammed themselves into the gap. Not a big deal, but it's kind of annoying - and I'm wondering if the gap should have actually been more sealed.

This is my first car with a deck/trunk spoiler so I'm not sure how it's supposed to be.

Can the F-sport guys comment if they have the same issue? And if they've noticed things lodged in there too?

Tx,
Mehran

yes i have the same issue. never had anything lodged in there. however i always have to make sure to pay extra attention to the gap when drying the car. water accumulates in there, so i spend extra time blowing all the water out. all of my cars have had the RDS, even the 2 ESs' i owned. same gap issue.

Ok good to know. I figured it was across all cars with that same kind of lip spoiler. It just looks weird - and something I wouldn't consider typical for a "luxury" car.

The pine needles are really lodged in there... some I can't get out with my fingers. Regardless, I think I'd do some damage if I tried with my fingers. I might get a thin piece of paper to get them out.
