Default scratches on the Piano

is anyone experiencing scratches on the piano black inserts (don't know what material so you'll have to excuse my ignorance) on the doors and where the drive mode select button is. i have hella scratches and don't know how they got there. if anyone can instruct me on how to get them out and keep them out i would appreciate it. THANX in advance.

I don't have any yet but I was thinking of this same exact problem last night when I was dusting them off. Material looks like it is really easily scratchable. I'm being super careful right now but would also like to see if there are any repair options if this does happen. There 's got to be some kind of polish solution that can repair it or at least make it look better.

Bring it to a professional detailer and have them buff it out. They'll tell you if they can get it out.

If the scratches are deep, you might have to get more invasive.

Visible scratches are almost unavoidable with this finish...Piano Black is a beautiful trim that shows scratches easily.

Very true. What about a swifer duster? Or microfiber cleaning cloth solution to detur the onset of scratches when cleaning?

Tell your spouse that you need to remove your wedding band whenever you leave the house to ensure that you don't scratch the steering wheel. Let us know how that discussion goes...

Definitely use microfiber cloth when you clean it to help minimize the potential for scratches.
