Luxury Black interior with espresso wood trim

That being said, the synthetic stuff (I believe my IS300 had synthetic suede, and a friend has a CT which I believe is synthetic leather) is still very good.
I will say though, that the synthetic stuff in a MB feels low quality. I don't get how a car at that price range doesn't come with real leather pretty standard... I think the CLS is the "cheapest" Mercedes that comes with leather standard in the base model. Would be fine if the synthetic stuff felt good, but in the E-Class I test drove it didn't. Combine that with the poor ergonomics and the dull drive.. and the 4GS was a clear winner for me.

Okay, a terminology mixed up here. As someone pointed out, it is semi-aniline. Anyway, I love my flaxen. Not only it looks nice, it feels more durable than the leather I had in my 3GS.

+1 - unless it's different in other markets, all the 4GS in Canada come with real leather for the seat surfaces. The dash is synthetic.

Just wanted to share a few comments. I have been considering (internally arguing) 2013 GS350 vs the Infiniti M37S. Both vehicles have items that I really like as well as features that I don't love or think should have been included. I usually purchase automobiles with black interior so the Cabernet and Flaxen did not create great excitement for me. (personal choice)
Yesterday, I visited my local Lexus dealership and finally saw a black/black GS in person. WOW! No doubt, any hesitation I had about the other color interiors quickly deflated. I encourage anyone considering the GS to definitely view the black interior in person. Sharp, sporty and allowed the two screens in the dash to pop.

The black interior looks really sharp on my GS450h, with matte bamboo wood trim. The stitching accents are vivid and really make the car look the luxury part and the sport part at the same time.

Originally, I was set on buying black on black, but black interiors get pretty hot in the summer. Also, black exteriors don't always hide dirt and minor scratches very well. My favorite color has always been red, so I changed my mind and went with Riviera Red/light gray interior. Also had my windows tinted this weekend.
Love the way it looks!

I took the interior pics in the garage. Maybe I can get a better one in the light, sometime.
Being in the bright sunlight it looks like a solid red, but we all know it really isn't. Funny how the different lighting makes the body color look different in each pic.
The last pic is the day I brought her home. Before I had to add the front license plate because of our state law that requires front plates. I know. They are pretty ****.
