Engine noise
Got my new 2013 GS 350 AWD, fully loaded. Can't begin to say how much I love the car. One question. How much engine noise is normal? My previous car was an HS and therefore pretty quiet at traffic lights and low speeds. So, unsure what is normal for my GS. Specifically, I notice what sounds almost like a faint diesel engine noise when idle, especially when old shortly after ignition. Is this normal? Car functions fine so I assume it is but thought I'd ask. Thanks.

Ok. Thanks. And I will enjoy the car. It's what I call a slam dunk! Aggressive yet tasteful lines, best interior I've seen in years and surprising performance. Well done Lexus.

The United States Department of Homeland Security requires Lexus to build each GS sold in Canada with a loud engine. This way customs can check the vehicles coming into the US for illegal cases of Molson.
