Best Way
Hi all, like the rest of us I like to keep my car looking in as new condition. If its grimy then I would wash it with buckets of water and then wipe it down, but if its just dusty then what’s is the best way to clean it. In the past I have just used a damp chamois but I feel that this may not be the best way because it could cause scratches and swirls.
I normally clean it every day and although its 4 years old it still looks like new.
I am awaiting delivery of my new GS and would like to keep it the same way without causing any scratches
Any advice please.

If you live in a dry climate (which I doubt in much of the UK) a California Car duster is a good option for touch-ups on dark colors. However, don't use it when the weather is humid as it just smears the stuff around. I try not to wash my cars more often then every 2 weeks, and then only by hand when the weather is above 40F. When between 25-40, I'll go through an automatic car wash about once a month - usually touchless. Below 25, the car goes unwashed.

Since you are relatively new here, I will take it easy on you lol. We have a detailing forum with tons of info on this. Basically the way you are doing it sounds like you will only make the paint on your car worse and filled with scratches. Best of luck with the new car

you could get a deionized water system... http://www.amazon.com/DI-120-Cr-Spot.../dp/B0056HDCUM
