My previous Lexus automobiles came with leather/leatherette covers for the electronic keys. My 4GS did not. What has your experience been? Thanks ladies and gents.

No cover here. This was my first NEW Lexus purchase, so I didn't expect anything different.

nope.. didn't get one either. This is my 3rd Lexus. First time they didn't provide a cover.

The 2013 GS does not come with key covers. There are currently none available from the parts department either. I check daily.

Mine did not, either. My prior two Lexus from 2007the did not, either. Never noticed a need, though.

My wife's 2012 RX350 came with fob covers when purchased six months ago. No such luck on the GS.

there are no covers for the 2013 GS key fobs. the dealer hands you the keys with no covers and pushes you out the door. i don't know if they will even make any covers for the 2013 GS. my prior lexus vehicles had covers but not this one. i really don't see the need.

I contacted Sewell a few weeks ago. These have cutouts for the old GS and most current Lexus models but the GS 2013 has a different layout of buttons so these don't work.

A user on a prior post mentioned that his GS key fits into the case for protection as long as you don't want full access to the buttons.

Yeah, it was me. The gloves literally fit like a "glove" but you can not see the buttons since the holes are not made for the 4GS key. All the buttons are still accessible through the leather. I just memorized the order of the buttons and pretty much learned exactly where to press to access each button. I like it a lot since it seems to protect the key fob from being scratched by other items that I keep in my pocket Plus it has a little string loop to hang on my key holder at home

I owned an '01 and an '03 GS and neither came with key covers. I guess it must have just been the 3GS models. Anyway, I'm not missing it.

I actually purchased those from Sewellparts.com. Thery were advertizing the covers to fit on the 2013. They did not because of the cutouts did not match. It took awhile to get a refund.

Good to know they weren't provided on purpose. I've just got to stop carrying so much crap in my pocket so the key doesn't get banged up.

The previous GS's, w/keyless, as well as teh other cars, got glove because of the valet situation. The black fob has no where to put a key tag to mark the key, the glove added this and protected the key. Lexus redesigned the key to inlude the hook on the fob for tagging.

I too would like a glove to protect the key from damage. I'm sure its only a matter of time before either Lexus or an aftermarket company brings one out.
