In Japan, non-hybrid models have the option for it (maker option that can be requested for example from say the local dealerships there)

As for changing or modification via installation, you may wanna ask Joe Z and Nigel about that

I would definitely buy one if I had the money. It'd be awesome to have a car that stylish and still get good gas mileage.

I would definitely consider it. Although you may give up some of the throaty engine sound, there is more torque down low and increased MPG.

I really hope Lexus is more flexible in their customization with these cars in the future. A buyer should be able to get all the option he/she wishes. Some of my wishes are
-450H-Fsport
-Luxury package
-Fog lights
-Power everything

Might be a $80K car but at least make it available.

Personal opinion:
I'd rather they bring back a GS460 version (then possibly with an F-sport package). I'd pick it over a GS450h anyday.

That's just my opinion though

I'm with you, but the world is too "green" now and CAFE standards are getting tougher.

I would consider it due to the vehicle just being faster in general, being able to roughly have 500 miles to the tank (like my old LS430 - but having less to fill up with) and having those headlights!

Yeah it sucks. I also blame extremist environmentalists (aka eco-terrorists) like Greenpeace.

Still, I would really want to see a conventional V8 engine (non-hybrid) for the 4th generation Lexus GS. If there won't be a GS460 anymore, then let's hope that a 500 hp GSF will make up for it in its place........

Perhaps it need not be a full-on F sport... I like some of the styling cues - such as the black mesh grill on the f-sport and would put that on my GSh tomorrow...
