Nope, I don't have them. Maybe there's smuggled drugs behind those panels.

I have them, they r there to protect the edges so u don't scratch them if ur moving sumthing into the car. That's my guess, sure they do get dirty, but as long as u keep the car clean, not hard to manage.

Yep they are door guards, so it wont get scratches on it , just one wipe and its clean.don't try to take it out.

the only prob. i have with them is that wax and sealant gets in the edges. i take a soft toothbrush and warm water and gently brush along the edge until it comes out and gently wipe the res. with a MF towel.

That clears it up (I think) for me. I have the 3M paint protection film on my car so I wan't sure whether that film was from the application or the factory. Like sydoostic said, requires some attention when detailing but not a big deal overall.

Those areas are prone to rock chips in a lot of cars. Lots of vehicles have something there these days. Subaru WRX STI has a huge patch of it because the rear area is so flared out.

They're to protect that area from scuffs and stone chips. They eventually turn yellow though (it's especially noticeable on a white car)
