Helpp please!!!!!
Yesterday going home from work it started to rain badly, i got to my exit and continue down the street. There was so much water and it caught me of guard and drove in to a flooded road and drove right through it. It was atleast waist level im 6 ft tall. I was like oh ***** and just continue slowly, i made it through with out my engine stalling. Now i am worried thats there water in the engine, it runs normal is there a chance that my car has water in its engine Do i need to check it out at the dealer?

I am not a car expert by any stretch of the imagination but I think you will be okay. Of course if your car start exhibiting unusual behavior, which I doubt, get it looked at as quickly as possible.

If water gets in the engine it will seize and you'll be looking for a new engine I don't think the air filter is exposed enough to get water through, though.

That's scary. Do check the interior (and trunk) to make sure water didn't get into the car (if it did, you should dry out the carpet as soon as possible)
About the engine, yeah, as the other folks said, if water had gotten into places it shouldn't have, you would have trouble driving off. In modern cars, most of the parts in the engine bay can tolerate some amount of water falling on them. If you notice any issues, take it in.
I remember reading a post earlier from someone who had changed oil themselves and had indicated that the bottom of the engine bay was actually not open - had some sort of metal sheet covering the bottom part. If it is in fact completely sealed, you should be fine. If it is not completely sealed and has some gaps, then, there is a possibility of some water accumulation, so drive the car a bit and let it dry out (just in case).

If ur headlights got condensation in them, u will have to go to the dealer and ask them to fix it. While ur there already, might as well ask them to check to make sure everything is fine. Better safe then sorry. I mean u should b fine but maybe water got into places where it's hard to get out and the dealer can clean it up for u. Just my opinion. Hope everything is fine and ull b ok.

Tony: Just googled the recall. It looks like there was a recall in May for the DRS F-Sport models (ECU). Is yours DRS. I thought for some reason you had an AWD?

I'd be worried about long-term damage from water getting into the electrical items such as the alternator, connectors, etc., that are not completely water tight. The damage may not be immediately apparent but could come later as a result of corrosion, etc. Good luck!
