I agree. I love the aluminum trim, and it is an especially nice contrast with the Cabernet interior (which was another reason I went with the F-Sport). I don't think there is anything cheap-looking about it at all. It is simply modern vs. traditional luxury.

Here is a good comparison of the two from the Reviews thread, although the driver does say he first drove an AWD model...

Do the F-Sport wheels affect the ride quality at all?

I was in the same boat. Fog lights, gray leather and wood trim meant a lot to me. I would have loved an F Sport with wood trim, fog lights, and gray leather!

you would have to drive them both too compare. i've only driven F-Sport,,, so i don't know how the premium drives. i don't think there would be much difference. the F-sport drives beautifully. especially on a long stretch of smooth as butter highway. even in S+ it's not punishing.

I had a Premium model as a loaner before my F Sport was delivered and didn't find very much difference in the ride. The F Sport is just tighter in steering and handling. For 19" wheels, the ride is really smooth.

If I'd gone with a Luxury model I would have gotten the same combo as you. I love the light gray leather with the dark espresso wood. I almost ordered a Nebula Gray in that combo but went with the F-Sport instead.

I think I've decided to go with the premium so I can get all the options I want. I'm going to ask the dealer to change out to f sport wheels and grille insert and spoiler. Eventually I see about changing out the front bumpe that should be the best of both worlds

You can probably save some money on eBay. I saw a set go for $1700 for wheels, tires, center caps and TPMS delivered. I paid $2000 delivered for my new car take-offs about 4 months ago. They are priced all over the place but if you watch a pair can be bought right. You are getting $1400 worth of tires.

The one thing I don't like about the F-Sport wheels is that the front and rear tires are different widths. This only bothers me because I put around 25 K miles on a car a year, and from what I understand you can't rotate the tires with the different widths so they would run out even faster.

If Lexus would make an F-Sport-Touring/Premium/Lux(or whatever they wanna call it) that combined the F-sport and Luxury package then I'd be a happy camper.

Had the same problem as the rest here, however I went with the FSport after finding that the suspension's electronics in sport+ mode on fsport are tuned differently then the sport+ mode on non-fsport!

Really wanted wood trim, but couldn't bring myself to skimp out on the suspension.

Check out the press video here

8:43 talks about the electronic suspension... 10:17 is where this lexus rep describes the difference between fsport and lux in sport+ modes.

Spoiler: fsport is firmer by default and works much harder to keep the car under control

Same dilema here. That's why I went with the luxury package.

It was espresso wood or nothing for me. I also think the luxury spoiler looks better than the f sport spoiler. I would have liked to have the f sport front bumper but it wasn't something that I wanted badly, as I think both front ends are interesting and aggressive enough.
I could never go with the silver trim in the f sport so the decision was easy for me.
I also am not impressed by the f sport wheels since I only really like silver machined wheels. The luxury wheels are boring, but my intention is to add machined 20s, so the wheels didn't matter to me.
I would have even gone premium over f sport because of the silver trim, but I wanted the mark levenson audio very badly.
I went luxury.
I am very happy with it. The interior is gorgeous. I have liquid platinum on black.

The deal breaker in the Luxury was the wooden steering wheel...seems like Grandpa's car...
