Default F Sport vs Premium

Having a tough time making a decison on which model. I love the exterior of the F Sport but hate the interior metal trim, I love the bells and whistles available on the premium especially the espresso wood but really dont like the stock front end and wheel choice. Anyone have the same dilemma? Please help is there a solution?

I did not care for the aluminum trim, in lieu of the dark wood, either. I also didn't care for the interior color choice options in the F Sport, and I preferred the traditional look of the standard grill with the fog lights. I didn't need many of the options on the premium, so wound up getting the standard model with just the options I wanted and needed, including the optional 18" wheels.

I was in the same dilemma as you when I purchased my Luxury. I too preferred the F-Sport exterior over the Base/Luxury exterior, mainly the front bumper. I ultimately decided to get the Luxury just because I hated the metal trim too and wanted the espresso wood trim badly.

Some guy backed into my front bumper a few months back and I guess you can say I got lucky getting my bumper damaged because I now have a F-Sport bumper courtesy from his insurance company.

Similar dilemma between appearance and features. I ended up with luxury as I wanted the foglights and adaptive headlights for my area, color choices (I have the meteor blue mica with flaxen) and rear seat controls/heater.

I had a similar dilemma. I lover the interior of the premium/luxury models, but after driving two months in my car, opted for the exterior look and performance of the F-Sport.

Same as most everyone else, liked the front and wheels of F-Sport but wanted wood trim instead of aluminum trim and the features not offered on F-Sport Had to order to get options end color combo I wanted. Put a set of F-Sport wheels and tires on it as I don't like the Lux wheels.

The F-Sport wheels look good on your LUX.

Yes, they do, and no one but CL members would know the difference. The first GS I ever saw on the lot was a Lux Nebula Gray with the F-Sport wheels and I thought it looked fantastic. Someone had bought an F-Sport and had them taken off, so the dealer installed them on the Lux model. I would have bought it but it didn't have the interior I wanted. It was gone within a week.

Wheels look sweet. I think I would add spoiler and grille insert and I've made up my mind. Thanks

I thought the F Sport trim level's interior looks cheaper than the interiors found in the Premium and the Luxury models. I think it is a combination of the metal trim, the obnoxiously large metal dead pedal, and the golfball divots in the steering wheel and shift **** leather.

A lot of it comes down to personal preference. I like the F-Sport steering wheel and shifter ****. Having the black interior the aluminum trim is a nice contrast. While I see the trim reflection off the side view mirrors in bright sunshine it hasn't been a safety issue for me. I would also be OK if my car had the black wood trim on the dash, but I'd stick with all leather / no wood steering wheel.
