Default Aftermarket Subwoofer install

I am thinking about having a aftermarket subwoofer sound system installed into the car. Wondering if anyone has done that or thinking about doing it. If you have, what did you get and how much did it cost?

I am eventually going to get to this mod. I have all the cable, amp, fuses, sub, loc etc... Just needs to find an open weekend to tackle the project

Price-wise it really does vary depending on what equipment you go with

What brand of cable, amp and sub do you have? Also what size? Do you plan on installing Dynamat in the trunk or anything to prevent rattle? Trying to get an idea on what to get, size and everything. If possible, post a picture of everything you plan on installing.

The trunk is pretty well lined already. I would definitely put some sort of insulation on the license plate...that will vibrate and sound like a winja civic coming down the road.

Lol great tip! That's one thing I don't want is any type of rattle so the car now sounds horrible and cheap. Have you done any Mods on your car?

What kind of budget are you on for this project? You can add a dirt cheap sub and amp for a few hundred dollar, sometimes less. Those typically don't sound all that great though. The high end stuff can price in the thousands pretty quickly.

Not sure on the price range, but I am looking for something that won't take too much trunk space and sounds good. I am also torn about if this is even worth doing and trying to see if anyone has done it to see how it looks, what they got, paid, etc. The sound system in the car is good now, but if it can be upgraded that would be nice too. I have already installed something that makes the car think it's in park so I am able to watch DVDs while in drive mode, dial numbers, input address in navigation. Basically, everything that turns off when they car is in drive is now available. Another plus is they did not have to cut any wires or drill any holes to make a switch. You turn it on by a code used on the volume keys on the steering wheel

you might see if you can get these guys to build one, like they did for the 3GS.

Could you elaborate a little further or point us to where this information is available?

Default DVD Bypass

You might also try Beatsonic. And see if they have anything for the 2013 yet.

I recently had a Kicker 450 watt powered sub installed in the trunk of my F Sport. It takes up very little space, it hits hard and sounds great.

One issue...the vibration shakes the gas tank door something fierce....well worth it tho.

If I were u, Id go with sum high end woofers, the GS isnt an cheap car, so you'd probably should get sumthing that matches its class. Just my opinion. Also get an custom build if u got money to spend on the project. My old car I had 2 JL Audio w6s with 2 JL Audio 500/1 slash series amps with an custom box and rack build. Also dynamatted the entire trunk, helps the sound stay in the car too. I dynamatted the gas tank lid too. So no rattle at all. Just think it would b more classy with an custom build. It all depends on ur budget and taste for what sound u want. But thats my 2 cents, goodluck with this project.
