You mean in bluetooth settings?

 

no. in settings under the Do Not Disturb icon you'll see the notifications icon, open it,,, scroll down to mail,,, open it and choose on for notification center.

 

Did that. We'll see if it works.

 

So weird, i didnt change a thing and it started working.

On the above fix, why would email notifications effect imessages? Mine was already on as an FYI.

 

Apps seem to be more consistent, but MAP does not illuminate.

 

Same here. I can receive texts fine. But I cannot reply. If anybody has a solution, let me know.

 

Ok so Messages finally shows up in the car after I enabled notifications for the mail accounts. This works even after I re-enable passcode.

But I'm only getting email alerts on the car. ie if I send myself an email. Can't get iMessages or text messages to work yet. And when I replied they showed an error.

Edit: So played around with setting iMessage to send from an emails address vs my phone number. And now I have it set to send from my phone number and even turned off mail notification from above and I'm able to receive text messages from others. But if I send to myself I only get alert in the car if I set to send from email.

So looks like they are still working at it. Cannot reply still.

 

I can't reply as well. Also replies don't work with a Droid Razr Maxx.

 

picked up the iphone 5 today. i am receiving text msg. but reply shows error.

 

does anyone know why we get the error message when trying to reply.

 

Not yet, but I am trying to find out. Since both my Droid and IOS devices don't reply, I'm wondering if something with Lexus needs to be addressed. I know at least my Droid will reply when it's in the car dock in my G35, and the phone will read back txt and emails. I wonder if they did something in the name of safety?

 

My Message button now works in my 2013 GS and receive text messages. Cannot reply, receive message Error. Hopefully there can be update of 6.0 software to allow full use of MAP. How can I receive emails on my message button or does it only work for text messages sent to my cell number on my iphone?

 

I also receive text messages on iphone 5. Reply errors out when sending, Hopefully we can find a fix

 

Same here. My 4S with iOS6 read my texts but couldn't reply. Ditto with iPhone 5. It reads incoming texts but still get the error message when replying. If anyone finds a fix, let us know!
