Default Grab the Visine - red out tail lights

I purchased the vinyl from Rvinyl 7.50 shipped for a two square feet sheet - fast shipping!

Here is the template that I created:

I went with the wet method where I sprayed the tali light with soap/water mix to position the vinyl. After I positioned them they look great!

way to go!

Nice upgrade! I've installed a few of those on 2IS back in the day. Props to it!

Wet method and hair dryer is the best and easiest method to do!

The film Looks easy enough to replicate with a lot of straight scissor cuts!!

That looks fantastic! Now my questions are: is Rvinyl a member? Is there a link you can provide so I can purchase exactly what you have? And what exactly are the steps of the wet method? I know nothing lol

Do a search on ebay and you will find them. All you need to do is trace the signal with some type of thin paper, then I transferred it to a thicker piece of paper which ultimately was my template. I then used that to cut the vinyl.

No, if you look at the original tail light the signal piece is yellow. The vinyl simply covers that area so now the light looks uniformly red.

from the pictures it looks great but up close can you see a difference of colors or where the definite line is between the two.

There isn't a difference in color at all. If you didn't know about it, you wont be able to tell. Its very subtle.

Is this it?
Please forgive me for being annoying, but what sort of soap do you use in the soap and water mix?
What do you do after you spray it and position the vinyl?

Yup that is the correct auction. Here's more detailed steps:

- Clean the tail-light very well. Make sure there is no wax or anything on it.

- Prepare a solution of water and shampoo - put about 4 drops into it (baby shampoo works the best). Fill the rest with water - just use a standard spray bottle.

- Spray down the tail light and your hands with the water solution. Peel off the vinyl and spray water on both sides also.

- Position the vinyl on the tail-light. If its not right peel off and do it again, make sure that it is plenty wet.

- When you think you have it centered, start from the middle and push out any extra water or air bubbles. Do this gently as I used a squeegee and it marked up the vinyl. I just used my fingers instead.

- Repeat on the other side and then pat yourself on the good work you just did
