Default Day Time running lights "bright"

I have noticed that my DTR lights look amazing when my lights are off, but when the lights turn on they dull out a lot, maybe like 50% of what they were.

Does anyone know of a workaround to keep those bad boys light up at 100%?

Thanks,
JesseP

It is mean't to be like that, remember, you are not the one who has to be blinded by them.

+1. They are meant to be brighter during the day so other drivers can see you. They will be blindingly bright at night, combined with your headlights, if they stay that bright.

You guys have been sooooooo helpful! Thank you for telling me what kind of car I drive. And to suggest that having my drl's as bright when my lights are on is like people who mod Honda civics is ridiculous!

Now maybe someone can chime in on what I was asking?

LOL I agree with you. Ask a simple question and you get a bunch of opinions on how something is bad for you. They should go complain to people who drive SUV with headlights shining straight in our faces! Seriously.

BTW I would love to have full LED brightness all the time. Maybe the guys over in the IS forum might have a clue. Perhaps a relay or something that needs to be disabled. Even better, maybe it's a fuse we have to pull.

You put a thread, so you should be open to what you are asking to do.

BTW, how do you have two usernames?

I'm sure there's something within the software that can be recoded, but I don't think it's an option that can be chosen through the settings.

Some people have some ridiculous responses, how in the world are the DRL's going to blind someone!? LOL
Back to the question at hand, I am sure it can be done. It would definitely look a lot nicer with the LED's at full brightness, plus the headlights. I noticed that the Headlights overpower the LED's and they are barely visible (it can be my horrible vision playing games w/ me too?). I say, give it some time and hopefully someone will make some sort of module that will bypass the dim effect.
