So I ended up forking over the money for a Proclip base and phone mount. I found a 10% off coupon and free shipping so that helped.

So far I really like how secure the mount is and how it does not get in the way of any of the buttons or clock. I also like how I can "dock" and "undock" with one hand if I don't have it plugged in. They had the dock with plug version available but I did not want to fork over the additional money for it since it was not a big deal to me.

Remember you need to buy both the mount and holder (they are sold separately) unless you are doing some sort of custom holder and only need the mount.

Thanks. I have their mounts in most of my cars and may be able to repurpose a holder.

Looking to get a cell phone holder for my GS and wondering if anyone has used either the CD Slot ones or the Steering wheel ones? Pics below and of course I would have a black one (not yellow like one of the pics). EDIT - NOT GETTING A STEERING WHEEL MOUNT - AS SOMEONE MENTIONED NOT SAFE FOR AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT!!!

Do not get the steering wheel mounted one unless you want your phone to fly into your face during the airbag deployment.

I have the Alightstone CD slot one mentioned above and it works great with the thicker pad mounted. The website says its compatible with the Plus...but probably not with a case.
