I had some bad luck with various mounts, but have been very happy with this one. Just another .02 cents. Me personally, I just can't get behind attaching a magnet to my smartphone on a regular basis.
Did you put that lexus sticker on your cup holder lid or is that something new on the 2016+?

Yes. I added that little touch to the cup holder lid. Been doing it since my first 4GS. Always thought that space needed something since I usually have it opened.

Decided to return the previous CD slot phone mount I had. It became loose and flimsy after a couple weeks of use, and would rattle when driving on rough roads.
Now I use this one:

At first, I thought it wouldn't work and had to return it since the GS CD slot has a tapered space on the top center portion. But I just flipped it, put the additional pads included (for smaller phones) on each CD Connector, and used the included bracket. This is better than the other one since it's easier to dock the phone since it has a one-touch lock and release. As I already mentioned, not a fan of having a strong magnet on/near my phone or weakening the air vents with a heavy phone.

Thanks so much man! Yeah I still haven't decided but now Inmay just go with this one.
I got a great mount from VentMounts.com and it is honestly on of the best investments I have made for my car! it sticks right into the A/C vent and holds your phone up magnetically. It's extremely clean and minimalistic.
